Apartamentos Ona Dorada el Tarter

Spacious apartment, excellent view of the mountains. Relatively short walk to the El Tarter lifts. Kitchen is well equipped with microwave mini oven cooking utensils dishwasher (one tablet only). Unfortunately no salt pepper tea or coffee, despite there being a kettle and a coffee machine.

Parking was extra at €16 a night though there is a free one about a 10 minute walk towards the slopes. You have to empty your bins before leaving and finding the bins is an odyssey. Poorly marked and unclear. The receptionist surprised us when we asked for restaurant recommendations by saying there are NONE. He said you need to go to La Vella for restaurants. We found an excellent grill with a wide selection of food right by the main road a two minute drive (you can even see it from the hotel balconies). Not sure if he really had no idea or did not feel like being helpful. There are plenty of other restaurants along the main road.

Great view from the room of the valley. Good walks nearby (didn't come here for skiing!). Comfy bed. Warm rooms (though note below).

Thin walls and ceilings. People who arrive around midnight then talk and chat until the small hours. Lead shoe wearing people. Early risers who talk and chat outside and drag their cases across the slotted walkway outside the rooms. Car park is very tight. Ramps are badly designed, so if you have a low-lying car don't bother. Large cars won't fit. Long way up if you have multiple bags. Noisy plumbing. Doors and windows badly fit, so are drafty.

The location was easy to walk to restaurants. It was really warm with heating. Lovely view and balcony

Finding reception was a struggle, the parking was incredibly tight and tricky. There was a really bad smell all around the Accomodation. The linen was not great for the sleeper couch. And it was crazy noisey.
