    We had such an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived until we checked out, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was one of the highlights—there was so much variety, and every day featured a different cuisine, so we never got bored. The all-inclusive package is definitely worth it, and the complimentary aqua park passes were a fantastic bonus. The facilities are excellent, the beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities throughout the day for both adults and kids. What really made this place special, though, was the staff. The hospitality is honestly on another level. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. We even had a payment issue when we arrived, and the team handled it so calmly and professionally. They were incredibly understanding and respectful, which made a stressful situation so much easier. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and they completely surprised me. They decorated our room, prepared a beautifully decorated dinner table with an incredible view, and the staff gathered to sing Happy Birthday to me. It made me feel so special and turned my birthday into a memory I’ll always cherish. This hotel gets so many things right, but the people are what truly make it exceptional. Their genuine care and attention to detail made our vacation unforgettable. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and memorable holiday.

    As always Makadi Beach meets all our expectations but is marked down 1 star on facilities this time. The hotel has always received top marks before from us. This time we were disappointed with the facilities for us occasional smokers. Closing the lobby bar to those that enjoy indulging has created an unpleasant situation with guests 'power smoking' at the main and rear lobby entrance/exits. Huge pots provided and lots of 'dead soldiers', all at attention. We really feel management needs a better solution, perhaps reverting back to the mostly happy status quo enjoyed before. The lobby bar is a relatively small area highly suited to this function, causing minimal problem to non smokers. It should also get back it's previously great atmosphere.

    The hotel grounds are beautiful and the rooms are spacious. The bed in particular, usually a problem for me, was comfortable (not too hard). The restaurants provide reasonable quality food and was varied enough for our 5 day stay. The bay itself allows you to see the various marine fish from the beach and the coral reefs are wonderful. The service in the restaurants is variable and not always very fast. Most staff spoke German (clientele 90% German), but very little English, so sometimes our requests were lost in translation. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would recommend the hotel.
