Located along the South-East coast of Mahé, only 15 minutes (6.4 km) from Seychelles International Airport, the villa combines convenience with complete seclusion.
The property features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large beachfront veranda with uninterrupted ocean views, a lush tropical garden perfect for BBQ, and a fully equipped kitchen. The elegant lounge, TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi ensure both comfort and connectivity, while a large private parking area adds to the convenience.
Guests can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, kitesurfing, and a variety of ocean activities right at their doorstep.

We had a wonderful one-week stay at the villa, thanks in large part to Charlize (the housekeeper) and Begum (the owner), who were both incredibly welcoming and helpful. We also loved the three adorable on-site dogs—Rocky, Bonzo, and Shiba—who made our stay even more special.The house and the beach are fantastic, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. We truly enjoyed an authentic and unforgettable week on Mahé.

We had a fantastic time at this villa. It's perched right on a beautiful white sandy beach, and the snorkeling is tremendous - a huge variety of fish, moray eels, stingrays etc. The villa itself is charming, with comfortable rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There are a couple of quirks - drawers that don't open easily, for example - but that just adds to the fun. We were well looked after by the hosts, and every so often we would find a couple of coconuts on the veranda for us to open to get the coconut water out. That was a lovely touch. Finally, the dogs! There are three dogs who live next door and they like to visit. They're really friendly, and even come into the sea with you for a swim. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the property presented better than photos suggested in the listing. Joel greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. We were not expecting 5* hotel quality standards, if you are this is not the property for you. This property is for those that appreciate simpler things and want to enjoy a rustic cottage with perfect access to beach and water. Charles the grounds keeper was welcoming and regularly cut fresh coconuts for us to drink. We loved that!
The property is an older house but is well laid out. The kitchen has everything you need to entertain and feed a large family. There is a coffee perculator that made great coffee that I used every day. There were juicer and blender, large fridge and freezer, lots of pots, pans, cooking utensils and cutlery. We found the Weber BBQ very useful and ate outdoors most nights. We only used the master bedroom and can say the bed was very comfortable.
There were sunloungers and a hammock outside that we used alot. Plenty of shade under the verandah for keeping out of the sun if you want to. It rained quite a bit during our stay but that did not spoil anything for us, we enjoyed the property all the same and made for some spectacular sunsets and evening walks.
In terms of location, could not get better access to the airport while being far enough away not to be disturbed by any air traffic. Only 6km from airport, a very easy 15 minute drive. The property has a garage and Charles mans the gate. The beach in front of the house is excellent, it is the best part of beach in my opinion in over 2 km of beachfront. The property is also conveniently located a short drive away to some other picturesque and great beaches to the south. I actually preferred to stay at the beach at the house as very few people came past and we were there for privacy. For the most part we got it.
Joel offered for us to go out in the boat but we were enjoying splashing around we didn't take him up of the offer this time.
The only challenge we had was with very restricted wifi. Got good signal from house wifi but could not get enough data out of it to load a web page during our stay. Not a problem for us on the whole as we came to get away from technology, but prevented us using for organising onward travel easily, had to use phone.
Fantastic little place, just what the doctor ordered. I would not hesitate to stay with Joel at L'escapade again for any future stays in Seychelles.
