My mother lives in RP and I've gotten the habit of trying out different hotels. This was Transamerica's turn. Having stayed at the other high end hotels I came with high expectations. And even though I stayed only one night I was happy with it. The room was top notch. I love it when they provide safes in the room. I wasn't able to do much because of the rain, but the pool seemed decent, the gym was small. Breakfast looked good but I did not eat it. Overall great building.

My beef with these high end hotels in RP is the fact they dare charge people for parking our cars. There used to be a time when you could use these services for free, now we're supposed to be paying to have someone park my car when I could just do it myself? I make an effort to not use this service and I don't care how far I have to park on the street to make my point. Luckily all of the high end hotels have ample free street parking within a minute or two of the hotel. It's a rip off to charge for valet when most of the time you see these guys standing around browsing social media on their phones and collecting 30 bucks from guests. Pitiful. This is why I gave it a 9 instead of a 10.
