Let's start with the host. Communication is excellent from the moment I book through the end of the trip. Jerry truly wants to ensure you have an excellent stay.The house is great. The views from the porch are picturesque (fyi, bring bug spray for the early morning and for dusk). The pier is beautiful, providing you with early sunrise pictures. You can sometimes see the dolphins playing a hundred yards or so off the pier. The pool is great. It is cool and refreshing! The house itself has everything you need, but who cares right, who goes to paradise to sit in a house? 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards are available. You can paddle to the reef and snorkel on your own, but it is a bit of a trek, but definitely worth it! As if it couldn't get better, you get Carlos and Lucita. They both work extremely hard to ensure you don't want for anything. Lucita provides the meals and Carlos takes care of the grounds. They are super friendly and extremely kind! They truly make the experience so much better. If you are a snorkel lover, be sure to book Mexico Rocks with Mr. Hill. We saw barracuda, an assortment of fish, as well as several turtles!This was our second time staying. We love this piece of paradise. Far away from the city to unwind and relax but close enough (45 minute golf cart ride) to visit if you want too. Check out Annie's bakery if you take a trip to town! If you want to unwind and relax in a serene setting, this is the place for you!

First I have to say Jerry was amazing to work with. He had great communication from the beginning ( which I am a huge fan of) Our flight got cancelled( from US to Belize due to weather) and he stepped in to help and fixed our flight with tropic air. ( he also originally schedule it for me too). Carlos came to the airport to pick us ( and luggage) up! We rented the golf cart for our entire stay, which I highly recommend! We went to multiple places multiple times. The pool was refreshing! Having the kayaks and paddle boards were nice. Lucita made us so many wonderful meals and they had fresh fruit for us too. I highly recommend this place. It’s not in the middle of the busy area( which is what I wanted). Close to secret beach and local bars. We had our own travel guide that came to meet us when we arrived to see what we wanted to do. I was at first nervous about not scheduling in advance like I have done on so many other vacations, but it’s not their first rodeo. I’m glad we waited. They recommended which days to do certain things depending on weather! All the way around a great experience!

We were a party of 5.Everything went perfect. From the pick up at the airport from Carlos, to de cooking of Lucita (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Food was very good.Rooms/toilet very clean. A/C in each room which makes the house very nice.We had a wonderful stay of 6 nights at Ecape Away.Jerry the owner organized air tickets reservation to/from Belize City and some changes at no cost from Tropic Air.We had some diving experience with White Sands, very close to the property which is a super plus, same as No Worries (Mr Hill). David, also a local guy was recommended for fishing and snorkeling.The summing pool definetly a super plus.The beach view is fantastic (despite sargazo), and the private dock with palapa makes a difference for fishing and to hang around.All staff (Lucita, her son, and Carlos) very helpfull along the day, with suggestions and recommendations where to go and what to do.The house has Laundry which is very useful as well.10/10

I want to start the review that Carlos, Lucita (Carlos sister) and Ayzer (Lucita son) took wonderful care of us.I will start with the bad then move on to the good.When we arrived the pool was green, not sure why, slow season, lack of use?Carlos worked on it for 2-3 days and got it back in shape.Then the Sargassum (sea grass), it's a problem all over the Caribbean.Carlos and Ayzer worked on it every day, then on the Thursday the owner brought in equipment to clean it, unfortunately a little to late, great for the next guest. The equipment should have arrived before we got there then it's maintenance not a disaster, it was 6-10 inches thick and out 20-30 fee. The air conditioning didn't work in one room and limped along in the other room.Carlos worked with a contractors and got it fixed 3 days later.This property needs some serious TLC and attention from the owner.It's not fair the staff have to deal with this along with there daily duties.We are paying for a top notch functioning building and property.I rented both properties for this trip and the other was an issue as well.Now the staff, they are great, they set up the pier with hammocks and a ladder to access the ocean, the Sargassum (sea grass) blocked access to the ocean but not now.Ayzer is a wonderful young man, always helping and talking about his passion fishing.Lucita cooked great meals including a surprise birthday cake for my wife.Carlos is willing to help with anything to make the trip memorable.
