The kitchen was very good except just one wine glass and need a couple more saucepans ! Very pet friendly and spacious inside and out perfect location. Clean and well kept. The family bathroom shower head didn’t fit into the holder so you couldn’t use it and the en suite in the double room shower attachment didn’t work !

Overall property was as described, facilities were adequate, view was amazing and location perfect for exploring. Cleanliness of property was non existent and we took it upon ourselves to clean so as not to waste anymore time. Upon arriving home we decided to call the property owner direct just to provide feedback as we didn’t want to complain as we didn’t let him know at the time, however after being rudely spoke over and hung up on we feel a review is now required. Spiders were everywhere, cushions on chair ripped, bedding had blood stains on and, cobwebs everywhere, flooring was extremely dusty, Hoover had never been emptied and no attachments were there for it so was difficult to clean, bath in double room didn’t drain very well. And we also got locked out as the door has two different locks. Had the owner met our feedback with understanding and let us get our points across without becoming rude and dismissive then we could have avoided our complaint to vrbo and this review. Property is undergoing renovations and has potential to be amazing however cleanliness does need to come first.

To start on a positive note the location is excellent the views from inside the property are incredible .However; we were firstly greeted with a full skip , a front garden full of weeds and rubbish with four used loo brushes and their pots lined up in front of the garage!! The entrance is tired ,we proceeded down to the lounge and kitchen area . Yes the windows and the view is spectacular but the inside is tired and in need of a deep clean , the kitchen was the same the sink plug holes full of food , crumbs on the surfaces and a carrier bag for a bin liner! The door to the utility is all glass and there is no kite mark therefore not meeting uk safety standards so a constant worry with our 5 year old grandson . There was a broken chair in there with just a note on it taking up floor space . The lower bedroom is tired with two very nasty shelves for anyone to crack their heads on as they are right by your head space . Upstairs ,again fabulous views. The single bed room has doors that will lead onto a balcony when completed because it soon became apparent the property is under renovation including cladding on the outside at the back . The bathrooms are good and have been renovated but need a deep clean . We unpacked and went to take showers and it became apparent we only had only 3 towels between 5 of us on contacting the owner he said there should be more in the cupboards however he wasn’t helpful and we found the wet towels in the dryer. This place could be fabulous.

The property is a lot larger than appears from the photos. Bright and airy throughout. More than ample seating, plenty of kitchen equipment, comfy beds and THAT VIEW!Stuart was available by telephone to assist, once VRBO had contacted him, i think the contact number needs updating.on their AppMoelfre is a lovely little village, handy village shop, chippy, pub with pub grub, Ann's Pantry which we tried a couple of times and is highly recommended. Great walks along the coast and short drive to nearby beaches, we and Freddie our dog loved Benllech beach (dogs to the right only).

A wonderful stay in a fantastic area. Wonderful views. House was lovely, just could have done with a brush and pan or hoover so we could keep floors free from our dogs hair 🙈 Kitchen fully equipped and beds comfy and exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend, good value for money

Nice house with fabulous views. The house was lovely and warm, thanks to a new heat pump system. It is well equipped and provides super towels and tea towels. Excellent TV with loads of channels. Kitchen appliances very good everything like new. Sadly one negative, one bed had a disgusting mattress topper ( stained very badly ) looks like a previous guest had made the mess. Spoke with the owner who is going to replace it. Overall a lovely holiday, very friendly host and we’d definitely stay again.

The property is in a perfect location, moelfre bay on one side and the quiet road down to the village on the other. The views from the back of the property are fantastic. The house is clean and well equipped and has very comfortable beds. There are two flights of steps to two bedrooms and one flight of steps to the toilet/shower room and the third bedroom from the main living area. There are also steps to both outdoor seating areas. The garden has two seating areas,both with splendid views, real sun traps! Moelfre is a two minute walk and a small grocery shop next door but one. T

We have stayed at “Gosteg” for the past few years and have never ever tired of the location and superb views from almost every room. We also love the “ roominess” of the house and the proximity of Moelfre village, the village shop and the local (and excellent) local pub. And, with more mundane things in mind, such as shopping, there is an excellent group of supermarkets just a short drive away. And, oh yes, we have already booked for 2024!!

The property was outstanding, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The spacious rooms have superb sea views and we loved the open fire. It is a one minute walk to the pub and just a few more minutes get you to lovely walks along the coast. We will certainly look to book again!!

Property is in a perfect location, views are amazing and always something to look at. We had 2 dogs, garden was secure so no problem in letting them out. The property needs a little attention, especially in the living/dining room. Cleaning could have been a little better, the grill was particularly bad, but that's down to previous guests. I also think that food left by previous guests should be removed, food that's unopened could be given to food banks, food that's opened should be removed. Would any of this stop me renting this property again, no it wouldn't. Thoroughly enjoyed time there.

Saw the advert for the property and loved the layout and the views but the pictures don't do it justice. Westayed for a week in September and woke up to beautiful sunrises and had sunsets to match. Even when the weather changed it was still to die for. Everything you need in Moelfre is only a short walk away. 6 adults stayed at it was plenty spacious. Stuart the host was easy to contact and speak to. Cannot wait to go back

Quality is conformance to requirements and this property was in an ideal position for local shops, restaurants, hostelry, and sea. It was also ideally located for visiting other island venues. Timely property access info was a bit concerning but excellent communication with the owner resolved our issues promptly.

Gosteg is situated overlooking the sea at Molfre and the garden has two seating areas. The one by the patio door has the sun in the morning , so you can enjoy breakfast there and the area at the side of the garden gets the afternoon and evening sunshine. We have stayed at Gosteg many times over the years and the beautiful views from the house and garden will never fail to delight us. We were so pleased the local fish and chip shop , tiny general store shop, the Kinmel pub and Ann’s Pantry cafe are all still open, despite the pandemic. We also enjoyed another visit to the Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay. Delicious meal and excellent service. . We couldn’t get the grill to work on the cooker. In addition we didn’t have hot water on day one but Stuart the owner talked us through how to reset the boiler and we did so easily. I always feel really sad to leave Gosteg but look forward to our next holiday there.

Gosteg is a lovely house, situated in a small village on the Anglesey east coast. We loved every minute of our stay. Lots for the small children to do with very close surrounding beaches, and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. The house has a panoramic view of the bay, and a larger than expected garden isn’t overlooked. As a grandparent, with children and grandchildren in tow, my relaxation time was taken up with sitting at the large bay window and “watching”! It was lovely, especially since I’d remembered my binoculars. There’s so much more I could positively say, but simply put: we’d definitely go back to this house.

We had a fabulous stay due to the perfect location of the property, the friendly village and the spacious accommodation. We couldn't have asked for a better home from home! Stayed for one week, we have stayed in this cottage before and you just can’t beat the views and location! Lovely food at the pub and weather was lovely and warm. The patio has some benches to sit on which is a real sun trap all day! Very homely feel to the cottage and will definitely like to return. My only criticism is that the cleaner may have overlooked some spots but not enough to put us off! Overall a beautiful cottage and I’d fully recommend booking :)

The house is in a fab location in Moelfre and has spectacular views. What let’s it down is the general cleanliness of the property, for example, the dishwasher filter hadn’t been cleaned for months, cobwebs on the ceilings. Fridge looked like it had only had a quick wipe over, amongst lots of other examples. This was disappointing given we had paid a premium price being in August and a check in and out times were changed to allow for more cleaning time between parties.

We had the most lovely stay in Gosteg. The property is cosy, comfortable and the views are amazing. Our 80 year old parents had a wonderful time with the benefit of onsuite bathrooms. Moelfre is a lovely village with a good pub and cafe, pitty the ice cream parlour was closed.

We wanted a cottage with sea views. Mission accomplished ! The Sunrises were amazing and different every day - we were not disappointed. The only problem we had was the chip shop 1 minute walk away - the food was superb - ended up eating there 4 times in a week and went home fat and content :-) We will definitely be back and have already recommended to the rest of the family.

Great location and house design but needs some upgrading

The major external positives were the views out to sea & the close proximity to the attractive, quiet village, beach & coastal path. Structurally the house design is interesting with a split level. The rooms are of good size with large windows to offer the views. The lower overall rating is because we felt the property was showing many signs of tiredness and needing repair and upgrade. For example the en-suite bathrooms both had splits in the cabinet veener, also tiles missing & loose tiles on a bath. We would argue that only one shower in three bathrooms is not ideal these days. The hot water in the bathrooms took several minutes to arrive (if at all) which is wasteful. The lower bedroom we felt needed a re-fit and the side shelves removing as they a easy to bang your head on. The kitchen was OK but ageing. For example a two slice toaster for 6 adults is insufficient, an old microwave , a frying pan with the handle hanging off and we had two dead spiders in the pans which suggests things weren't checked fully. The TV was also annoyingly as it didn't always come on first time suggesting an issue. Lastly, although I am no electrician the switches for lights and sockets looked old an we wondered if an upgrade was required. Having said all this we had a good stay and if these issues which can be rectified then it would enhance the stay for visitors.
