Emerald coast sardinia - Costa Smeralda - Apartment in Baia Sardinia

We traveled here as a family for a week long holiday in August. The property exceeded expectations. The location could not have been better-- we were a 20 minute drive from all of the top rated beaches in the area, in addition to the smaller, less crowded beaches close to home. The swimming pool was fantastic. It was huge and clean, and not crowded at all. Yes, you did need a swim cap, but it was easy to bring from home. The opening hours were quite lengthy, and even longer than what was initially posted, so that was a pleasant surprise. The property itself was as described. It had everything we needed, and was extremely comfortable. The balconies were enormous, and we loved having the ocean view. The host was responsive, and all communications were clear, including a very thorough information sheet containing info for arrival, use of appliances, pools, restaurants, etc.

I had already stayed in this holiday flat (alone and with a rented car) for the first time and for ten days last June. And such stay was so satisfying to book for a second stay in September immediately upon my return. Among the advantages of this apartment: − Strategic location (on the harbour of Cala Bitta and a couple of kilometres far from Baia Sardinia) to visit some of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda and within a plain residential facility, cleaned and maintained with a large sheltered-from-the-wind saltwater swimming pool (perfect alternative option to the beach for the days of mistral) and a hot tub. (A swim cap is required to access to both.) A supermarket, an ATM and other shops are located just a couple of kilometres away from the apartment. − A spacious veranda with a panoramic sea view. − The sober, well-refined and unique elegance of the furniture together with the light, which pervades the flat entirely due to the two covered terraces, infuse an immediate feeling of pleasure, ease and comfort. − The kitchen and the bathroom (just redone) are functional and equipped with the essential. − Excellent quality/price ratio. − The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner for the entire stay are noteworthy. Not to be missed are the round trips by boat to reach the magnificent islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena. Do not miss the weekly local market on Tuesday in Baia Sardinia, that one on Wednesday in Arzachena and the special and deserving one on Thursday in S. Pantaleo. Like most of nearby beaches to a port, the one in front of the Port of Cala Bitta does not do justice to the Sardinia. Therefore, go for visiting the numerous and spectacular nearby beaches. Among the must-see beaches: − Porto Sole, distant only a few-minutes walk from the apartment is the closest. − Baia Sardinia (2.8 km) where you can eat a delicious meal directly on the sea. Park at the free-of-charge Parking Place of Pines (Parcheggio dei Pini), and then walk down for a few hundred meters to the beach. − Cala Liscia Ruja (7 km) with its beautiful Long Beach; etc. In order to fully enjoy the surroundings, download the Coast App and the iSmeralda App. As far as I’m concerned, I’m definitely going back… ;-) Said that, how could I not recommend this solution to those who want an unforgettable holiday on the wonderful Sardinian Sea?
