Quiet Farm Location

Very nice location and although the weather was poor the farm area remained clean. We were 4 people in 2 different bungalows. One had underfloor heating but both were warm. We never felt cold. Both were lovely, spacious and decorated for Christmas. Thank you to the owners.

Nothing really. One of our party is 85. He said he could have done with a handle to hold in the shower.

A great nights sleep on a cracking little farm full of charm and friendliness

What a lovely little farm! It was great to peak in on the animals, especially the 3 week old calves and the young piglets. We booked Carter's Lodge, the Family bungalow, Drover's Barn and the Farmhouse wing and each cottage/house was spacious and the beds extremely comfortable - with everyone enjoying a good nights sleep.

The ONLY negative was the curtains let in lots of light in the Carter's Lodge, but it didn't bother me as I sleep with a night mask - so there's a tip for future guests!

A home away from home experience. Highly recommend

Everything about our stay was perfect. Big warm welcome from Sally with homemade cookies, warm clean rooms and hot showers. The added bonus of the farm animals being farmers ourselves it was so nice to feel like we were at home! The views from every window was stunning.We will definitely be back in the future 😊

Animal lovers dream

It was set on a working farm with lots of different animals to see. The rooms were large and had what we needed. The balcony overlooking the lamb garden was very cute and having a bathroom each for the two of us was a welcome bonus. Plenty of places to visit such as Chester zoo and lots of places to consider if you want to go out to eat as well David and Sally-Ann both helped where they could when I asked about different parts of the farm and information on how to find different animals

Fabulous place for all but especially with young children

Perfect location for us, and a working farm was so lovely. Warm and welcoming family owned. House was lovely and breakfast lack is a must. Horse and jockey pub was gorgeous, good value, food and lovely staff Special mention to Romeo the goat and all the animals.

Not what we expected from the photos on booking.com

Comfortable bed.

The booked property was too dirty to stay in, we had to pay for an upgrade. Needs a deep clean. Broken furniture, dirty carpets and windows.

Perfect break location

I took my two children for a weekend break and we absolutely loved it here. As soon as we arrived the kids were so excited to be met with piglets in the farmyard and some lovely friendly dogs who they instantly fell in love with. They were also given the opportunity to feed some lambs. The farm is beautiful and the accommodation couldn't have been better. There were tears when we left! I definitely plan to return.

A lovely rural bungalow; peaceful views, a very cosy log burner & a friendly farming family welcome.

Friendly welcome, cosy log burner, lovely big bath, very comfy bed with good bedding.. & last but not least...super-cute piglets, too! 🐖

Wi-Fi reaching the far bedroom would have been handy; but a digital detox is always more healthy, of course. It was absolutely fine in the lounge.

It was so cosy and nice and warm. I went there to relax and that's exactly what I did. There was a breakfast waiting for us (which I had paid for) and a file with all of the information we needed.

The location was very quiet & peaceful, the property was absolutely stunning & soon felt like home. Woke up to a surprise sweet treat left by the doorstep which made our day. No problems within the property so was no need to call on staff. Would definitely like to make it a regular stay to unwind from the reality of life

All the rooms except the bedrooms had a TV, not a major issue but would of been nice to have a TV in at least 1 of the main bedrooms but wasn’t an issue.

It was rural and pretty; the children loved the animals although the dog was scared of the bull when he put his face over the fence! The cottage itself was homely and everything we needed was provided. We found the stay to be delightful

It was great to see all the animals on the farm, and even better you could go around the farm and pet some of them.

Not a dislike, but more of a recommendation, maybe look at a possibility of a small washing machine to use. Understandably that will be down to time at the location and activities undertaken.

It was nice to get away; we enjoyed our time there.

Lovely and quiet. Self contained. Provided toiletries as well as washing up liquid, and tablets for the dishwasher. There was some lovely tiffin waiting in the fridge for us, as well as milk and eggs - a lovely gesture.

Starting to look tired. An old little cupboard in the bathroom. One of the kitchen drawers had bits and pieces in that didn’t belong in there - a wheel from something - and hinges. Bedroom cupboards were very dusty on top.
