We loved the outdoor seating area with BBQ for guests to use. The property is quiet and secluded but only just off the Main Street, so only a few minutes walk from restaurants. The hosts live in the adjacent property and are helpful, but leave you alone otherwise. There is private off street parking for several cars. The kitchen is well equipped.
The upstairs bedroom does let in a lot of daylight (thin curtains). If you are a light sleeper, bring an eye mask.

We stayed at the lovely Jonquil Guesthouse three nights and enjoyed it very much! Jo and Gary were very welcoming and provided us with lots of chopped wood for our stove (much needed as we were staying there in August!). The house is very cosy, charming, well-equipped, and situated in a magical and very well cared for garden. Franschhoek main street with lots of restaurants, shops, and - importantly! - the Wine Tram is within walking distance. We loved staying there and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who plans to stay in Franschhoek!
