About this apartment rental
This is a one-of-a-kind unit at the beautiful Maui Kamaole condo complex, located in South Kihei within walking distance of restaurants, shops and an excellent beach park, and a short drive away from some of the very best beaches in all of Hawaii. You will be steps from an amazing pool, you will watch incredible sunsets from a large lanai, and you will be in close proximity to humpback whales in the winter months. Owned by a New Jersey couple who would love to share our love of Maui with you!
With modern/contemporary styling, this 2 bedroom-2 bathroom ocean-view unit is on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with no elevator available. It has air conditioning throughout, a fully-equipped kitchen, full-sized washer and dryer, 3 flat-screen TVs, and free WIFI. King beds in the master bedroom and second bedroom, and a queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Well-stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, tennis rackets, and coolers.
L-205 is part of the Maui Kamaole complex, known for its lush landscaping and serenity. Maui Kamaole has two gorgeous pools, and L-205 is located just 48 steps (we’ve counted!) from the “tropical” pool, with lots of flora, water features, a hot tub and a seating area. The other pool, also lovely, is just a few minutes walk away. Maui Kamaole has gas grills peppered throughout the property, as well as two well-maintained tennis courts.
The location of L-205 is perfect. From L-205, you can walk through the Maui Kamaole complex and across Kihei Road and find yourself at the famous Kamaole Beach III beach park in 10 minutes. Or…you can walk 10 additional minutes into the heart of South Kihei to several good restaurants and shops. Or…you can drive into Wailea/Makena and, within 15 minutes, be sunning or snorkeling on the best beaches in all of Maui – Keawakapu Beach, Wailea Beach (and the famous Wailea Beach Path), Polo Beach, Palauea Beach, Po’olenalena Beach, Oneuli Beach (black sand), Big Beach and more. By the way, during winter months, Kihei and Wailea is exactly where the whales hang out just off the shore. And the sunsets you will see all year long from the L-205 lanai are among the most magnificent imaginable.

Excellent value here with this rental. It's exactly as described, and possibly better than the photos suggest. I'm 50, wife 48, with a 17y/o boy &18 y/o girl. Stayed for a week, son slept on pull out couch and daughter in second bedroom. Plenty of room for us. This is the best stocked rental. I've stayed in for the last 20 years! All the essentials, except coffee - bring your own, have a pod machine and drip, with filters. Pans/dishware/glasses all decent quality or above. Excellent and sharp knife set too. 1 usable cutting board we found, plastic wrap and foil available, even to go Tupperware, which can in handy for lunch on the beaches. We cooked 4 of the 7 days and had breakfast daily in the condo. Furniture was comfortable, spent many sunset evenings outside watching the sunset. Unit is located at the top of the complex (hill) with a short walk to Kamole Beach III. Do recommend a rental car if staying in this location. AC was cold and not needed all of the time, and common room timer was perfect for that AC. Privacy in upper loft since it's been closed off in the recent renovation. Bathrooms, washer/dryer are perfect. Tons of beach play gear, many chairs, umbrellas, boogy boards, we brought some and left it as well. Extra shampoo and conditioner in both bathrooms. Unit is very close to the upper lagood style pool and hot tub. We used both on several occasions after the long beach days and prior to dinner. LOCATION - for our family and what we wanted to do on the island, this was PERFECTLY central to everything. Hour to Lahaina and west side, 25 min to start road to Hana, and on the Kihei/Waimea line, so convienent to the resorts/higher end restaurants. Rented mopeds for the teens one day, highly recommend this, they loved the autonomy it gave them for day, use the delivery service, drop and pick up was so convienent (used island - $80 all in for Buddy 50cc). Highly recommend this unit for the view and value! Excellent!!!!

Upon arrival we found the property clean, tidy, tastefully decorated. It is a very nice condo in a very nice location. Could sit on the lanai and watch the whales jumping. A great ocean view.
The negative: we did have a problem with roaches. Management was quick to respond and try to rectify the situation. Only wish it would have been dealt with before our arrival.
