"The Dovehouse". Traditional, artistic, peaceful!

This unique traditional stone farmhouse, bought in 1992, is on a 8.500m² land surrounded by olive, fig and fruit trees. It is situated on a slope at the edge of the traditional farm village of Pitrofos located at the very center of the island about 7km away from Andros Chora and 7km away from Halkolimionas and Apothekes two beautiful sandy beaches. Due to its central location visitors can explore the whole island either by car or on foot such as visiting the nearby archeological site of Zagora geometric settlement or Foros cave.
The residence has got an imposing view down on the valley ending at the Aegean sea. The 180m² house built in three different periods, beginning in late 19th century, comprises three levels. The third one is a “Dove house”, a typical Cycladic "Peristerionas" added to the main house in 1995 by the owner.
The house has been fully renovated respecting its own strong character.
It is accessible by car through a driveway starting from the farm gate.
On the first level there is a large kitchen and dining room, a bathroom, as well as a double bedroom all giving onto a cozy yard with direct access to the farm.
The second level giving onto a large wonderful terrace, is comprised of a large living room accommodating up to three or four persons, usually the children, a kitchenette , a WC with shower and a staircase leading up to the “Dove house”. The "dove house' is a double bedroom.
The two levels can also function independently, ideal for two families or couples wishing to have their intimacy and at the same time being with friends.
