The Crest at GillCrest
We rented both the upstairs queen room and the downstairs family unit and found the property to be full of character and charm.
The upstairs unit is a generously sized room with a small balcony, dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and bath.
The downstairs family unit is spacious with an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a huge braai room with sea views. The lounge includes a pull-out couch suitable for children.
The property blends old and new nicely, with updated kitchen counters and taps.
We liked the sense of space and personality throughout the house. There are interesting nooks and unexpected architectural details, quirky décor, art on display, and a small garden that adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
The sea views from the braai room and upstairs bedroom are a real highlight.
The location is excellent — close to the beach, an Oyster Bar, and one restaurant, yet far enough away to feel peaceful and quiet.
We also appreciated the quick responses to our requests.
While the property is lovely, there were some minor issues with the unit not being spotlessly clean on arrival at 3PM

The room was exactly like the picture references. The view was even better. The property is away from the main road so it was really quiet and peaceful.
We didn’t see our host for the 3 nights we’re stayed there but we didn’t need anything. Access to the property was arranged. WhatsApp communication before our arrival made the arrangements clear.
