Karawanken Lodge

We stayed for a night only. But the place is very nice and very clean and very big rooms. The room even had a kitchen We did a late check in and had no issues. Parking is available on site Its a comfortable plc Breakfast was also good

Nothing to complain

The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by mountains and close to the lake. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed after a long day of traveling. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, and I really enjoyed talking with him. It felt much more personal than staying in a typical hotel. The area was peaceful, the views were incredible, and it ended up being one of those unexpected stops on my trip that I was very glad I made.

Honestly, nothing. I only wish I had been able to stay longer and explore more of the area.

We did not sleep in Karawanken Lodge itself, but in an apartment near by. Both are managed very well. The area is remote and peaceful. my family loved it. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. there is a trampoline in the yard for the kids. in the morning we want on a nearby path to the lake.

Very small bathroom . No where to put a towel had to put toilet bags on the floor in shower . Couldn’t find light switch for bathroom then found it in the mirror cupboard on the wall strange. Bathroom looked like it been sort of repaired on the shower wall . There was a big black sort triangle painted on the wall which had 3 big white plastic tiles stuck over it so you could still see a faint black triangle u der the tiles and the top of the trim stick out the top very wierde. If you turned the tap on you got wet as the sink was very small. A kettle . 2 cups & 2 glasses but No tea/coffee/sugar or spoons . No water . So what was the use of the cups maybe to drink hot water out. Host didn’t seem to have time for you . A very quick here’s the key there’s the room here’s the breakfast while walking around. No hello welcome . When asked where to have an evening meal we were told there plenty of places that way & that way so had to drive around to find somewhere . On booking .com . They advertising Karawanka logde restaurant 1 min walk but we wasn’t open or didn’t exist . Never saw it or was told about it . Had to drive 10 mins to restaurant after a 6 hour drive . No information in Not the lodge fault but you cannot walk anywhere on long the lake so a waste of an afternoon.
