Cobblers Cottage

I had a wonderful stay at this little cottage. The first thing I noticed was how spotlessly clean everything was. The host has thought of everything. Communication was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stress-free stay!

Comfortable and perfect for Port Isaac, literally two minutes walk from the cottage.

Glazing unit in the living room window has blown some we were unable to see that beautiful view clearly.

Excellent location near the shops, restaurants and the harbour. The Parking’s a bonus too in Port Issac. Comfy bed. Good shower.

No shelves in the bathroom. Could done with a few more plates and cutlery. Seagulls are noisy and poo over the car. A what three words address would help locate the cottage.

Good location for the town, parking was a bonus but only if you have a small/medium sized car. Comfortable bed. Clean linen and towels.

Outside the property was in very poor condition. Dirty windows and a badly painted old front door. In addition the letter box was broken. First impressions were not good. Inside the property was a little better but there were numerous things which were not good. The glass in the living room windows was blown and had so much condensation inside the double glazed units that the view was hard to see. The windows were dirty and the inside of the frames black with dirt. The shower worked well but there was black mould in places both inside and outside the shower tray. I took photos of all of these things. The kitchen was quite well appointed, although two glasses were cracked and the cutlery all had to be washed. The worst aspect was the fridge which was dirty and rusty inside, with a door that didn’t fit properly, so that the ice box was forever dripping water over things below. There were positives. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels clean. Other visitors commented on the noise of the seagulls, but we didn’t find them any more problematic than any seaside accommodation. One thing that the property lacked was outside space, somewhere to sit and enjoy a relaxing drink after a 10 mile hike over the cliffs. This is something I should have checked before we booked it.
