Beautiful homely accomodation with a home cooked meal.

The room looks pretty much newly renovated but still keeps the old charming ceiling beams. The bed was comfortable. The host lady is so sweet and tried to make me feel like at home even we couldn’t communicate in English. But I could tell what she tried to say. No grocery store in the village, she only charged the cost for the fruit/egg I wanted to buy. The dinner she made was delicious too. The main course pork steak came with 2 eggs which was great and gave extra protein.

Very nice Casa Rural. Fonfria is a very small town. The main street is mostly cows and barns! The Casa was an old building that was completely redone inside. We were in a very nice private room with a very nice bathroom. No air conditioning, but fairly cool due to an old building with thick stone walls. We could look out the window and see the cattle ranchers in action, pretty neat. Celsa, the owner, ran the show. There was a small bar to buy drinks on arrival which was great. We ate a late lunch that was excellent and way more food than we were expecting that she cooked. Came with an entire bottle of wine! We only needed a light snack for dinner.
