Veldig hyggelig betjening, og god middag ! Utendørs Onsne var veldig bra

Hotellet var noe utdatert og slitt

Onsen was good but the sedimentation should be clean.

Our stay was in a very spacious Japanese style bedroom with private bathroom. The place is spotlessly clean. The Staff were helpful as expected of Japanese culture of politeness, courteousness and helpfulness. The Onsen was nice with an outdoor bath and open 24hrs. There was a public open air onsen by the river. Unfortunately it was closed on Monday for cleaning. The included Breakfast and Dinner - full blown Kaiseki was fantastic. This place would have been beautiful in Autumn (late Oct?) and Winter with the snow around. The Hotel provide pick up and drop off from Matsumoto Station (90min drive) as there is no regular public transport. (Apparently only 1 public bus a day pass thru this place). Plenty of walking trek around to kill time. Highly recommended for a very nice quiet stay for a couple of days in the mountain. Internet connection (if you insist on having at this place) is extremely good (Free).

The building has been around and look rather tired and old. Nevertheless, as mentioned, extremely clean. May be time for a (major) refit.
