At the Almaja Villa, expect towering pine trees, dramatic views of the Adriatic, and the warmest and most generous hosts

I loved the generous amount of outdoor space — how, thanks to the wraparound terrace, I could take in the splendor of the landscape (e.g. the wonderful pine trees enveloping the property, the dramatic views of the sea, the rocky outcroppings defining the jagged edges of the bay).

Great place to stay

The apartment was very close to the main pedestrian street and the beach, it was spacious, with a large terrace and sea view. The whole town has a big parking problem, but we had a parking spot in front of the apartment. The host was very welcoming and provided us with recommendations for beaches and restaurants.

Everything was functional, however the facilities are a bit old and in need of some renovations.

Family stay in Petrovac

We are a family of two adults and four children (ages 3–13), and we had a fantastic stay at Dejan’s apartment. He was an incredibly kind and helpful host, truly more helpful than one could expect! The apartment is perfectly located within short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. We stayed in the lower apartment, which had two walls built into the rock, keeping the temperature pleasantly cool even on the hottest days, despite outdoor temperatures reaching over 35°C. There were two air conditioning units, but we barely needed to use them. We didn’t use the parking, but it was conveniently located right outside the apartment. All in all, a great place to stay, we can absolutely recommend both the host and the apartment for anyone visitng Petrovac!

I liked that the apartment was very close to the sea. Hosts were amazingly friendly, gave us free juice and sparkling water in the fridge!

Disappointing on the cleanliness but otherwise as expected

The host welcomed us on arrival and provided beverages. Kind and keen to provide practical information on the area and tourist attractions. The balcony allowed us to sunbathe and relax outside without the need to walk down to the busy beach. The apartment is spacious enough for 2 people comfortably enjoy a few days' stay.

Unfortunately, parts of the property were not clean (esp. kitchen and other cupboards). The bathroom calls for refurbishment. Not a fault of the owner but it is unfortunate that the air-con units on the hotel opposite are particularly noisy and may spoil the ambience of the otherwise quiet and lovely spot.

The stay was comfortable, peaceful and unforgettable.

Almaja Vila is such a lovely apartment complex, just a minute away from the beach. Despite its vicinity to the beach, the stay was quite peaceful, what a great combo! The host was attentive and gave me all the necessary advice, and answers. I came to Petrovac with my husband and our daughter, and the apartment was more than enough to make us feel comfortable. I hope I will be coming back soon.

I can offer this place to anyone to relax, enjoy very clean water, nice people and nice food.

Excellent location - very close to the city beach and close to the panorama walkway to the next beach. Close to the sea and restaurants, still very quiet. Owner and personnel are very nice people. Cleaning done daily. Welcome freshdrinks - nice attentiveness when arriving after a very long journey. And the seaside is maybe the most beautiful alongside the Adriatic.

Superb

The apartmants located both at comfort end of the street so without noisy crowds and passing cars and close to the sea with huge balcony and great sea and beach view on the 3rd floor. We have rented appartmnaets at the ground floor for kids and my parents and 3rd floor for me and my wife. The apartamnets on the ground floor sutiable for families traveling with several kids. Many thanks to the landlord of apartamnets who orginised our perfect stay at his place and additional support.

accommodation with panorama close to the sea

Wonderful accommodation. Attentive, kind host who can give you a lot of tips about the area. There is a fantastic panorama from the large terrace. It was nice to sit there and have wine in the evenings. The apartment is a clean and comfort spot as in the photos. Continuing the road in front of the house is a cedar forest road where you can go a more secluded beach. The sea water is crystal clear. There are gorgeous restaurants at the beach and harbor (70 meters away). Many boat trips also start from the same place. We had a great time, we recommend it to everyone who loves quiet rest and homely accommodation.

The kitchen tools are a bit old but work well.

At the sea, but far from crowd...

... Is possible! Also next to the most beautiful part of Petrovac - Perazica Do. The hosts were so responsive (yet not intrusive), kind and knowledgeable, that I didn't mind being alone (for the first time), nor did I feel alone. One of two best stays via Booking!

Great location - nothing else. Absolutely disappointing!!

Only thing good about this place is the location. Situated within 2 minute walk to the main promenade, super market, restaurants and cafe's along the main Petrovac strip. Host was cordial and helped arrange airport transfers and with restaurant recommendations.

The property looks nice on the outside, but the room was in very poor condition. Old, VERY cramped space - tight shower stall 27''x 24'', leaky bathroom faucet, so wet floor all the time. Inferior, old towels and linens and overall in need of repair and refurbishment. Small tight balcony - knees touch railing when seated down. Pictures are deceiving!! Definitely not value for money. We saw much nicer places for less money.
