Great breakfast choice, fabulous facilities - hot tub on terrace and sauna & steam room downstairs and perfectly situated - 5 minute walk to the piste and a great apres ski bar

It would be great if the ‘spa’ was opened earlier

The hotel is very near the ski slope of Ron’s Point - a short walk. The room ( standard ) was good for a standard , no view of the mountains , you look into other people’s rooms in the apartments across from it , the small standard was very small and not very nice. The staff on the front desk , particularly Angnes and one of her colleagues were very helpful when a member of our party was sick - they took him in a car to the local doctor and also asked if he needed anything .

The internet came and went during our week stay - they said it was being fixed - we used our personal hotspots on our phones to access the internet because of this . Breakfast was hit and miss , no milk one day , no eggs to boil in another , the coffee machines were clearly on holiday themselves ! There was one waiting staff who seemed to know what she was doing but the other was clearly not trained or just confused as to her actual job. The food ( dinner ) was hit and miss too , salmon trout uncooked ( supposed to be cooked ) which stuck to the bone ! We didn’t order sushi ! I think the manager should learn to be more welcoming ( even if he doesn’t speak much English ) , he ran away from me at the bar when I asked for a pit of tea ! I can speak some French , but in a multi cultural resort like Meribel , a small amount of English these days is not much to ask ! The heating in the reception/ seating area was clearly not working properly, so we sat in our coats to drink a glass of champagne - btw don’t order the house white wine ! It’s clearly bargain basement level with five star price ! Plus the cake offering at apres ski is €12 a slice - it’s just a loaf cake !
