I’d happily stay here again if I’m in the area

Beautiful property

The rooms were spacious. The hotel property is beautiful with lots of greenery. The comms with the hotel was smooth. The main building has lots of characters. The breakfast was good. The hotel provided umbrellas to be used within the property which was helpful.

The electric charging for a (hybrid) car was pricey compared to other hotels we stayed during this trip.

The looks are deceiving: avoid the place!!!

A long list: * Shower a disaster: virtually no power * Rooms not clean * Rooms old and dated * Bar closed at 23:30 on a Saturday night * Mattresses old and dirty and with holes * No service at terrace for 45 minutes in the morning * Incompetent staff at reception

Beautiful place to stay :)

Room was very spacious, had all what we needed, it was very quiet and beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Surroundings of a hotel are beautiful, has a lot of space to walk around and city center is quite close, we went for a walk a few times, was beautiful and cozy. Also staff was nice and helpful. We liked that you had services listed in a tablet computer at the room, it was great to be able to choose weather we need room service or not.

I would not call the breakfast exceptional, it was mediocre at best (not so many options and some of ingredients were for sure not fresh) and could have been included in the price of the room, which was certainly not low. We were thinking that maybe it would have been better to go to a nearby city center for breakfast, would have cost less and coffee places there looked really cozy. Also, our room was a bit dark and air conditioning had some weird settings, it made the room very damp instead of making it cooler, but there is the possibility that we set it up wrong.

Stunning grounds and setting.

Wonderful grounds and quality of hotel. The hotel breakfast was great and in a nice setting. A super hotel that is about 8-10 mins taxi out of the centre or one train stop with a 10 mins taxi walk.

Not much - it’s quiet setting is a real plus but also a slight negative in that there is nothing nearby unless you have a car / taxi. The grounds and setting are stunning so if you want a nice hotel and peace, it’s perfect.

Pleasently suprised at the charm and quality for an in town easy access hotel when passing though

Setting and location were perfect - and what a gem of a place - beautiful gardens and setting , stunning original building with pefect modern rooms in the garden setting attrium building. Perfect for our one night travel stop over - yes you have to walk to the attrium from the main building but all part of the charm and experience - good value and very comfortable.

Superb

Magnificent place, very relaxing and sorrounded by a big green area. All the buildings look amazing and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and full of choices.

The single room I stayed in was very small but just OK for 1 person. Almost all confort were available, but I would have appreciated if a TV would have been available. A part of this, nothing serious to complain about :)

Tiny room, the shower water splashes on the toilet, and very thin walls and doors. From 6 in the morning I was waken up by other guests leaving their room and going to breakfast. They did not act loud , but the walls are so thin that you hear every door open and close, and every step on the stairs next to the room.

Although beautifully located, we won’t come again as outlined above.

We liked the space around the main building and the abundant amount of green.

The walls in our room were too thin. We could hear the guests using the bathroom, and talk. Cars were parked straight under our window sill, no privacy. We also disliked not being informed about the wedding and party that took place. Our room was next to a lot of the party guests. All in all poor planning and no relevant information in advance.

Was expecting more of an experience that a "Estate" could potentially offer.

Nice welcome at reception, good dinner and good breakfast

The rooms in the remote building are quite basic and give you the feeling like you are staying in any random hotel room. They take away the charm that the main building offers. As such, you don't really have a feeling that you stay at a "Estate". On top of this, the rooms are very hot during the night and even when you change the room temperature, the system automatically resets itself to default temperature.

Not such a good deal!

Nicely situated near to all destinations we required

As lovely as the main building is, the rooms we got in the outbuildings were pretty awful really. Design is one thing (horrible mix of some weird medieval carpets, tiles, ugly modern wallpaper and bright green modern shelving) but hygiene is another. These rooms are not properly cleaned, dusty, sticky stuff on bed, grimy sideboards, dirty cups, spiders and bugs in bed (seriously), a toilet which seemed to have never seen bleach, totally unacceptable and below the standard of what you expect of such an establishment. The deal we got was indeed to good to be true, the furthest outbuilding is a no go! Note we had 3 rooms for 3 nights, our review can be deemed objective, we are not types to complain easily. Staff in main building were very friendly and seemed not to be the right ones to complain to, so I did not bother in the end.
