very relaxing, we love Saint Valerie.

The best thing for me as the views of the Somme. The changing landscape and the hub bun of the market area. Also the location is very central and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen functional. Secure parking was a real bonus.

The only issue was how to pay for the stay. usually on Booking.com l pay with a card through the site. In this case I paid a deposit by PayPal and expected to do this on arrival but the owner preferred a bank transfer. My banking app didn’t function as it should due to extra security so I had to get cash out which was a pain as the amount exceeded the permitted amount of a withdrawal so I took 2 withdrawals out and paid a fee twice. This should be clearer at booking.

Lovely appartment with a great location. Has all the needed facilities. The private parking is super convenient , even if it is a 10 minutes walk from the place.

Very good

This gite is in an excellent position with views over the river. It is within very easy walking distance of the main shopping street and of a plethora of restaurants. The steam railway station, landing place for boat trips and old town are all short walks away. The house is well provided with all the kitchen and dining equipment that may be needed and the sitting room is comfortable. There is no free parking anywhere near by. Therefore, it is very helpful that parking is provided. It is some ten minutes walk away and is spacious, but the entrance is narrow and requires some care.

The house is old and quirky, which adds to its charm, but it is most definitely not for the disabled or small children. My bedroom was two steep and rickety staircases from the toilet. Accommodation is on three floors. There are three or four steps to the front door which leads into the middle floor where there is a well equipped open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. Downstairs are the toilet/shower room and the main bedroom which has a double bed. Upstairs is an attic bedroom with two single beds. It would be ideal for older children, but adults have to be careful not to bang their heads when going up stairs. In both bedrooms there is good storage with plenty of coat hangers. The gite does not have a washing machine. There is a laundrette near to the parking place. An excellent food market is held in the square opposite on Sunday mornings and there is a baker’s shop close by, but, apart from these, food necessities have to be bought from a small shop near to the parking place or a supermarket on the edge of town. I have tried to give an accurate picture of the accommodation, which was very pleasant and afforded a delightful short holiday. I have divided my comments between the like and dislike sections purely out of considerations of space There was nothing I particularly disliked about it.

Lovely location and views to match !

Our host met us on time and explained the full facilities at the apartment. The views from the property are lovely, reaching across the bay to Le Crotoy. You are very central to the centre of St Valery and the various restaurants etc.

Perhaps a double bed in the upstairs bedroom but that is really not an issue !!

Maison très agréable.

Tout était parfait. Excellente communication ( souplesse des horaires et gentillesse) avec la propriétaire des lieux. Bien équipé, propre, bonne literie, belle vue à chaque étage, tous les commerces autour de la maison ( boulangerie, superette, ect ect... La décoration est très agréable avec de nombreux rangements, maison bien rénovée A savoir qu'il s'agit d'une maison de pêcheur donc plusieurs niveaux et escaliers ce qui ne fut pas un problème pour nous. Bien isolée car nous avons à peine entendu l'installation du marché sous nos fenêtres le dimanche matin.

Pas de zone de déchaussage et de portemanteaux en nombre à l'entrée, vous êtes directement dans la petite cuisine en cas de mauvais et à quatre cela peut se compliquer. Ds la SDB peu de place pour poser affaires de toilettes.

Le logement était assez spacieux, calme, propre et bien situé. L'accueil téléphonique de l'hôte a été agréable.

Le parking sécurisé est assez loin (900 m). Nous l'avons donc très peu utilisé.

Que du bonheur

Emplacement idéal avec une belle vue sur l'estuaire et mollières depuis chaque pièce. Décoration et ameublement soignés. Propreté parfaite. Parking protégé gratuit à 900m.

Volume sonore de fête tard dans la nuit le week-end (pleine saison en été) mais estompé les fenêtres fermées. La pose de rampes ou mains courantes murales aurait facilité l'accès aux étages pour la personne à mobilité réduite.

Beaucoup de choses à faire et à découvrir, très belle région !

La vue sur la baie, le quartier des pêcheurs : charmant et la commodité du parking : un vrai plus ! L'hôtesse est sympathique et prépare bien les arrivées. Sur place, on a l'essentiel pour préparer à manger (merci pour le café !) et profiter du séjour.

Rien ! Petite suggestion : mettre des stores plus isolants d'un point de vue thermique dans la chambre sous-comble...

Beaucoup de charme, avec une vue superbe sur la baie

Les aménagements intérieurs, décoration, ameublement, et équipements, sont particulièrement soignés et agréables. La vue sur la baie est également superbe. L'ensemble a beaucoup de charme, tout en étant très confortable. Les clefs ont été faciles à récupérer à l'arrivée, le contact que nous avons eu avec la propriétaire au moment du départ a également été très positif. Le parking privé est appréciable ( même s'il est situé assez loin ),

Si le parking privé pouvait être plus proche, ce serait encore mieux !

Très agréable et reposant

Séjour très agréable, emplacement parfait au centre de St-Valery près des petits commerçants. Le seul petit point négatif fut une heure de Check-out plus tôt que la moyenne (10h) et la propriétaire est arrivée en avance et s’est montrée très instrusive.

Gezellig huisje maar wat klein voor 4 volwassenen.

De ligging in het centrum vlak bij de baai is prima. Het keukengedeelte is goed uitgerust en de verwarming en douche werkten prima. De omgeving is rustig.

De eetplaats/zitplaats ruimte is eerder beperkt voor 4 volwassen personen. De draaitrappen naar de slaapkamers en badkamer zijn moeilijk begaanbaar. De inrijpoort naar de parking (op 800m) is te smal voor een brede wagen. Een tent met schaatsbaan belemmerde ons zicht op de baai.
