This charming studio is ideally situated on a nice tree-lined street that connects the districts of Copacabana and Ipanema, two of Rio's best neighbourhoods.
Located on the 7th and last floor (elevator goes up to the 6th), the flat is very bright, airy and tranquil (sounds of waves and birds singing instead of cars buzzing — and maybe you'll even have the chance to see some small monkeys hopping among the trees!..) The building is well maintained and very safe, with security cameras, and smiling and helpful porters 24hrs a day. You can also enjoy the building's lovely and peaceful green courtyard, rarely used by other residents.
Recently renovated, the flat has a small but well equipped kitchen with a 2-burner steel gas hob, fridge, microwave, small electric oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, juicer, cookware and all basic kitchen utensils and cutlery ; a bathroom with shower / WC / hair dryer and toiletries.
The atmosphere is cosy, tastefully decorated, with air conditioning, two ceiling fans, cable TV 32'', free high speed Internet & Wi-Fi, telephone (with free calls to local landlines). Equipped with a comfortable double bed and a couch with pull-out bed, it is an ideal flat for a couple, but can accommodate up to 4 persons. Sheets and towels (all pure cotton) provided, as well as beach towels & sarongs, ironing equipment and cleaning supplies.
The neighbourhood is fantastic and with everything you might need within walking distance ! A 2-minute walk gets you to the beautiful Ipanema Beach (Posto 8) on one side, 6-8 minutes to the most picturesque part of Copacabana Beach (Posto 6) on the other side. And the area has many transportation facilities (buses, taxis, bike rental, subway is 8 minutes far), as well as a large variety of cafés and restaurants. supermarkets, drugstores, laundries, banks, shops, etc.
The owners speak fluent English, French, Spanish and some Italian (besides Portuguese, of course), deal with guests directly (no agents in between!..) and try to adjust, as much as possible, guests' arrival and departure times in a flexible manner.
