Yellow Paradise House

The host was extremely kind and attentive, welcoming us warmly and sharing helpful tips right from the start. The location is absolutely perfect for hiking tours, with many beautiful trails starting nearby. The accommodation itself radiates a classic vibe making it a cozy and authentic place to stay. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and would happily come back again – highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the slowak paradise.

The room and the bathroom were impeccably clean. The room was not very large but it was OK for me, I did not want to spend there much time except for sleeping. The shared kitchen was much better than I expected, even though I did not cook seriously there but it would have been possible. The kitchen, together with the garden furniture would have been suitable for a nice after-excursion dinner. I was also pleasanty surprised how close the house was to the attractions, e.g. the entrance of the Hornad gorge is about 20 minutes walking from the house and Podlesok is about 3 km on walking trail. All in all, I can recommend warmly the place even for longer stays.

Not strictly the problem of the house but buying amenities in the village is not that straightforward. E.g. the main shop is closed on Sundays. It is better to arrive equipped with food, etc.

Good location. Easy to start hiking from there. The host was very nice. Gave us tips where to hike, where to eat, even offered a drive to a restaurant.

Other rooms might offer great value for money, but unfortunately ours was on the ground floor, right next to the common kitchen and under the stairs. You could hear noises from the above room when they used shower/toilet, then people rambling iber ypur head when coming down from their rooms, and finally they prepare their breakfast inches away from your tiny wall... So for people like us, who don't like to start the day very early this was a big bummer. We couldn't have our well deserved rest after a long hiking day. I wish the description of this room would have been clear,, but would be the best really, if this room wasn't for rent. Also the beds were quite uncomfortable.
