Absolutely perfect hotel near Lake Garda

The hotel is located in the historic center of the village Tignale, close to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, cleaned every day and the balcony had a beautiful view of Lake Garda and the village Tignale. Breakfast was rich and very tasty. The staff was kind, helpful, and communicative, especially the receptionist Mr. Alessandro. Parking was nearby in a reserved spot that I booked in advance for a small fee. Every day I used the small hotel pool, which also had sun loungers. The hotel provided discount coupons for restaurants, which we used. If I plan a vacation at Lake Garda in the future, I will definitely return to Hotel Gallo. I recommend this hotel to all travelers who want to experience a pleasant vacation in this beautiful part of northern Italy. The hotel exceeded my expectations.

Super nice staff, well located, nice swimming pool and very good breakfast. I'd like to come back!

The staff where super nice with us, helpful, collaborative and gentle :D Swimming pool is nice, tranquil and has a great view. Breakfast covers all needs/wills and is abundant. The hotel all in all has a very nice vibe. It's confortable and the location is perfect. The little cute town is 1 min away walking. I recommend booking a room with a balcony. It's worth it.

Exceptional

The beautiful surroundings of the mountains and the lake are breathtaking. The whole facility is very clean, delicious food in the restaurant. Przesympatyczny staff. Very nice and helpful hotel owners. Let me tell you briefly, I felt exceptional for the whole 12 days. Mrs. Fulvio, I have to come back to you, I fell in love with this place.

Villa Clelia is a big property in good location, with a private garden where cars can be parked in. It was clean and well equipped. The breakfast in Hotel Gallo was delicious, the pool has great views and dogs are allowed everywhere. Everything was amazing.

The staff was extremely cordial and gave us information on things to do around the area and where to eat. Me and my partner also happen to be celiacs and we were happy to discover that they could tailor our dinner and breakfast with gluten-free options. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can say that the location is great. You can have breakfast on the terrace looking down at the lake.

The food people and service were great. However there was no electrical outlet near bed which is needed for cpap (breathing machines) also for charging mobile devices The owners gave us a n extension chord to use, and treated us warmly.

More electrical outlets needed .Shower very tiny but adequate.

Worth the drive, exceptional view

A little off the beaten path but it provides an extraordinary view over the lake. Loved eating breakfast out on the terrace to see the lake and take in the sights. Clean and comfortable room, appreciated the dog friendly nature. Close to restaurants with a coupon for the one directly across the street! Hotel bar provides drinks late as well.

We liked the apartment, the window in a ceiling was nice. All cooking equipment. Enough space for family. From far above but could see the lake.

It is not close to lake, takes time to go down from mountain A bit too dark in a shower, not too much water pressure, and no small shower, only the one running from above, for washing child is not too comfortable. No washing machine for clothes

Overall great experience.

All of the food was exceptional, exceeded my expectations greatly. Very good value for money and we were extremely pleased with each meal we had.

The location was quite hard to reach from local landmarks but this can’t be helped. Once you are there it is in a lovely area with amazing views.

It was the most peaceful 4 days of stay in Italy. I stayed in Rome and Venice before Tignale and by far Hotel Gallo was

It was conveniently tucked away in the mountains, and all the properties were close by to the main hotel building. The restaurant an pool overlook a very beautiful view.

One minor thing I didn’t like was the switch for the water heater. It would cut off after like 5 mins. I guess it’s a European thing, I’m from America, wasn’t a problem though was just new to me.

All you can imagine for breakfast on the buffet - amazingly friendly, cordial and helpful staff - great deck with stunning view over Lake Garda.

I was unfortunate, had booked to late, thus none of the lakeview rooms was available. The view of the mountain side is still wonderful, but also is the street side with traffic.

The staff was super nice and the lake view was amazing.

It is pretty far away from the lake. Was very difficult to go to the lake, approximately 45 min (because of the mountain) to get to a sup rental and a nice beach. Also, there is not much to do in the village of the hotel.

Well worth the effort to discover this gem

This is a great hotel, mainly because of the attitude of the management and staff. It's well located in Tignale, a beautiful small town in the mountains, and is clean and comfortable. The views over the lake are stunning. The welcome when we arrived and the ongoing care and attention were perhaps the best I have ever experienced in any hotel. The dinner, included in the overnight rate, far exceeded our expectations, given the quality of food and service. It was far removed from a typical buffet dinner. Breakfast was very good and had plenty on offer.

Air con would have been nice, but the ceiling fan did provide some relief from the heat. The free WiFi was a bit iffy but better to switch off devices anyway!
