Charming with loads of interesting features

Ample private parking. Attractive building well restored with contemporary touches. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Badly organised arrival system. Obviously the private parking area has a barrier but has no working intercom. When arriving it should be possible to contact the reception to be let in and then receive the code at check-in for later use. We had to park outside on the pavement of a packed one way street with much hooting from locals, walk two minutes to reception, wait another five for our turn, explain and get the code, walk back and reverse up the one way street (more hooting) and then enter the parking area for check-in. Not a relaxed arrival after a long day. Unnecessary.

Location, we could walk everywhere. Large, clean comfortable rooms.

Friendly staff, great size room, excellent bathroom.

Very hard bed. Tiles were missing off floor in shower Soap shampoo etc had come unstuck from the wall. Sheet was either bobbly or had dust on it from the ceiling No English news channel on tv No lights outside the door to the room we had to use the torch on phone to see the Lock Breakfast was not good. the fried eggs all dried up looked as though they had been there for hours!
