Smile House - Fisherman Village

Great location. Comfortable clean rooms. We were only staying for a night, a layover before an early flight. Served a perfect purpose. Our room was right next to the wall next to the night market and the music was definitely audible but it was all over by 11/11:30.

No issue at all in our very short stay.

Always like to stay at smile house when we visit ko samui . Lovely staff and a friendly atmosphere x

Didnt like the basic room at back no view just a brick wall .music was loud at markets till midnight.we changed rooms after 2 days to deluxed double with balcony.the bungalows looked very nice but were booked out .2 swimming one at front in full sun and 1 at back that does get shade of afternoon.you can walk out back gate to a lotus fresh and mcdonalds pizza shop.2 minute walk.out the front of smile you r right in the middle of markets .we ate at markets everynight. The gardens r beautiful and staff so friendly. Would we teturn to boput only for a visit as couldnt swim in beach.

The pools are really big and nice to swim, the beach it’s just across the road & the breakfast it’s alright. It’s a privileged location if you wanna go to fisherman’s village night market more than one day in a row

Our air conditioner was malfunctioning during our whole second night there, we slept really bad in a puddle of sweat. We talked to reception the day after and nothing was done; On the same night, we woke up with the air conditioning making really loud noises and literally SPITTING ICE OUT of the machine. Despite all the water that was dripping the whole night over the bedside table and my friend pillow & over her head. It was a living nightmare. When we talked to the receptionist again we were informed that it was probably our fault because we changed the air conditioner temperature (I’m sorry, what?) nobody ever told us that you cannot change the temperature. However, their solution was to blame on us, even tho the only thing we did was turn it on and off. I have a video of the airconditioner dripping all over our bed/bedside table, and you can see how disgusting it looks inside. Was full of mould. Probably never been cleaned before And a great extra was when not being waken up by the temperature, we would be waken up by the cats fighting outside. Also the music from the night markets it’s pretty loud and you can hear everything from inside the room
