Absolutely amazing! This charming hotel is in traditional Swiss style, with wooden beds and low ceilings. Nestled in the mountains, the morning view is simply breathtaking. Even though we arrived late, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and great friendliness. All facilities are shared and located on the floors, but the hotel is small, cozy, and full of character. Breakfast was complimentary and enjoyed in the company of wonderful guests from all over the world. I’m thrilled and will definitely return for a longer stay. Plus, you can buy local cheese right in the village!”

Excellent hostel! Arrived very tired after long cycle. Host family made me feel very welcome and shared a lovely meal. Very quiet, excellent nights sleep, safe place to store my bicycle and great company. I can’t speak more highly of my stay. Simon 👍

A mountain essential "surf-house"

Boardercamp is a mountain "surf-house", no frills, just the essential, you do your bedsheets, you undo it the morning at the check-out days. Breakfast is essential too, but a good coffee is unlimited. There's a nice sofa with a fire in a small lounge, the place is warm. Surf, eat, sleep, repeat (and bring your towels).

You need cash to pay stuff, but there is not much to buy, so i's not a big deal. There are no keys on the doors, so bring your trust and your honesty with you. A toaster, some ham and some eggs would be nice in the morning. the place is maintained with a "low-cost" mindset, which gives a certain aura indeed.

The place is rocking! Amazing location. Also the owner is the most kind and friendly human i met in this trip. On the way there i had a problem with my brakes. He was so helpfull and changed my break fluid. I owe him a life. I cant wait to be back for a longer stay.

Superb

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Boardercamp Laax. Everyone, other guests and staff, were friendly and every night there was a great atmosphere in the dining/living room area. I have no doubt it's the best value you can get for your money in this (quite expensive) skiresort area.

Every morning you need to catch a bus at 9am to the slopes. Unless you have a car you cannot (or it is at least very inconvenient) to make it on the slopes when the lifts open. This is not a huge deal but definitely wish there was a direct 8am bus as well.

Staying with Snowfun Border Camp for the tenth year in a row now! We love this place for its authenticity and affordability. It's a great place to enjoy Laax, one of my favorite Ski resorts in the Swiss alps. Don't be mistaken - it is a hostel, not a luxury resort :) But full 10 points for a fun, cosy and laid back atomosphere in an original old Usteria with lots of charm and super nice hosts! Freshly cooked great dinner served in the hostel. A ski bus drops you directly in Laax Murteschg and if conditions are good, you can ski down to the hostel at the end of your endless powder day.

Erstkontakt enttäuschend, jedoch aufgrund schlechter Erfahrung vom Vermieter. Hat sich im nachhinein als sehr zuvorkommend gezeigt. Bettwäsche musste selber bezogen und abgezoben werden

Super Unterkunft mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Mein Aufenthalt im Boardercamp war insgesamt sehr angenehm. Die Unterkunft war stets sauber und zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Die Lage ist gut und die Verpflegung war ausgewogen – auf Essensbesonderheiten wurde aufmerksam Rücksicht genommen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Positiv hervorzuheben sind der kostenlose Skishuttle sowie der freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer und seine Frau. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team und bis zum nächsten Mal :)

(für allein reisende Jugendliche) nicht zu empfehlen

Vor allem die Kommunikation mit dem Betreiber des Boardercamps war anstrengend und unangenehm. Möglicherweise hat er in der Vergangenheit schlecht Erfahrungen mit Jugendlichen gemacht, jedenfalls haben unser Sohn und sein Freund von Interaktionen berichtet, die als respektlos und unhöflich bezeichnet werden müssen. Wir haben nach dem Aufenthalt die Rezessionen auf Google Maps genauer angesehen und konnten die Missstände, die in den teilweise sehr ausführlichen 1-Stern Bewertungen dargestellt wurden, bestätigen. Aufschlussreich ist auch ein Blick auf die Antworten des Gastgebers, die den angetroffenen Tonfall widerspiegeln. Weil gleichzeitig auch Kommentare von zufriedenen Gästen vorhanden sind, scheint es ein Glücksspiel zu sein, welche Erfahrung man machen wird.
