Definitely would stay here again

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Excellent facilities in the room. Very easy to walk into the town for food. Breakfast was nice but would be good to see allergen labels.

Bed a little rough/springy but that's maybe just our opinion.

Staff were nice, breakfast was ok. It's not too close to the beach. Photo's need to be updated.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The manager (Lefty) was super helpful; he even offered to help us with transportation to the ferry.

The noise of the cricket was annoying. The hotel needs to update its photos, as they are misleading. They also need to inform the public that its on a hillside where you need to go uphill, if you have knee issues, it will be hard for you to stay there and not too close to the beach.

Mediocre at best

Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

Facilities including the garden weren't well maintained. The breakfast quality was below average for a 4 * hotel. There were drain flies in our bathroom. The bed and pillows had little to no support i.e. the mattress was quite thin so you could almost feel the springs. It should be a 3* hotel really.

Outstanding breakfast! Would absolutely stay again!

The property was beautiful! Nice gardens and outdoor sitting areas, excellent views. The breakfasts were amazing! Out of the different hotels we stayed at during our trip this breakfast was the best by far! Great wide range of offerings and good quality. Went to bed looking forward to waking up for the breakfast! The polish receptionist was so friendly and helpful and offered us welcome drinks upon arrival!

Would have liked a kettle in the room to make coffee first thing in the morning. I am an early riser, and felt I had to wait till 8 am to get a coffee.

Great hotel, staff, location. Lovely.

Wow. High Mill Hotel was great to stay at. It felt like a home from home. Firstly on arrival the staff greeted us very well and gave us a lovely mocktail. The manager guy, cant remember his name, was very good. All the staff were, especially Victoria in the evenings and Grace during the day. Both were very helpful with their recommendations. We had a sea view and the sunsets were spectacular. Lovely pool, lovely room, good size, shower was very good. We even asked for more shower gel and conditioner on our penultimate day as we ran out and we got a load more which was great. The breakfast was nice too, basic but tasty enough. Tv in the room was good, minifridge and hairdryer. Honestly cant rate this property enough. Great location, only 20 minutes walk from Parikia. I walked our suitcases from the port its not far at all. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel! We want to be back there.

In the morning doors slammed quite loudly and you could hear children shouting but thats just like a lot of hotels. It wasnt too bad.

Beautiful stay, can’t fault it

- fantastic balcony view - beautiful big pool with bar - comfy room - good shower - very friendly and helpful staff - great location (10 min walk to main beach front dining options) but is a very steep hike to hotel from the ferry (recommend a transfer or pick up a hire car if you don’t like walking as taxis were impossible to get) - ATV hire is a good idea to explore the entire island

- the transfer to the ferry port is 20 euro and is only a 5 min walk, a complementary or cheaper option would be nice for guests

I loved the exterior of the building it was all freshly painted and pretty. The bedrooms were modern and nicely decorated. The shower was also lovely.

I was disappointed with the pool area unfortunately. The pool needs re surfacing throughout and the surrounding area needs some TLC as there was some flooding from the grass around the sunbeds. I would also recommend some more sunbeds around the pool as some guests were without. It would also be nice to see alternative vegan milk at breakfast.

Nice place to stay!

A big big plus of this hotel: the view! All rooms are front-up towards the sea. That is amazing of course. You wake up in the morning and you have this nice set-up. The hotel itself got renovated from an older building and is now really a nice place to go. The price-benefit ratio works perfect for what you get. All areas are maintained nicely, the rooms are clean, the beds are cozy and comfortable. The Wi-Fi is working well and the air-condition is quiet. The spacious shower is really nice. You also have enough space for your amenities. The breakfast: really great! For such a small hotel it is huge and really nicely presented. Nothing really to complain about except the awful coffee. We recommend this place for sure.

You have to pay extra for the coffee from the bar. That should be changed since nowadays you are used to get a good coffee quality all over the world at breakfast for free, but not this instant-coffee from the 70s-tourism time. These machines are awful. Another minor issue might be the lack of sound-proofed rooms. Since there are still the old doors in place, you cannot be sure not to hear the other guest arriving and moving up and down in the rooms. Since I take ear-plugs at night time for me it was okay, but keep that in mind.

Only small thing would be a suggestion to cut the grass around the pool area - it would elevate the look of the grounds. But this is a small criticism in an otherwise wonderful stay at this hotel.
