Very good

Fantastic large room. With sofa and fridge. Felt luxurious. Nice bar area and enjoyed dining in the restaurant. Just a short wall into donegal town.

The leisure centre was closed. Lots of noisy children !

The property was lovely decorated for Christmas and interior styling is lovely. The food was excellent and staff were very friendly.

Very cosy welcoming hotel

Beautiful hotel on the edge of Donegal town.

I didn't get breakfast at the hotel. I got late lunch and dinner. Food was unreal and the service was A Class. I definitely can't fault this hotel, to which I've booked again for a few weeks time

Well lit, very spacious rooms, staff were lovely and dinner was 10/10

Restaurant was lovely and the food was good. The bar area is full of character and the atmosphere was great. Staff were very friendly and the spa was decent.

Parts of the hotel are a little dated although you can tell that improvements have been made. Location is great for Donegal town but I prefer a more isolated country hotel- although that admittedly isn’t the fault of the establishment.

We had a nice stay and simply as constructive criticism I point out the following. 1 room for 1 Adult for 1 night ended up costing me €245.00 including breakfast. I had little say in the venue as we were meeting as a group but for 1 night at the end of October I felt it was very over priced for what we received. The bar was excessively noisy and extremely difficult to get served. Staff just disappeared for long periods of time leaving the group to sit without drinks on more than one occasion. Live music, blaring tv’s, just not what I expected and I appreciate it’s exactly what some people look for. Similar experience in the restaurant, hard surface tables made it feel like the staff were throwing the food at us and a very loud echoing venue. Felt cold and cave like. Food was ok to good and reasonably priced. The gentleman who took our order was a highlight, memory of an elephant and so polite and hard working. Television in my room was not working, couldn’t connect to internet? No channels available? Probably a minor issue but it worries me how the beams above the breakfast serving area and eating area were covered in dust. Would have thought any area above food would be spotless and regularly cleaned. Smoking area outside the main entrance was missing 5 to 6 glass panels thus offering little to no protection from the elements. I did not report any of these issues to staff during my stay and as I said this is meant as constructive criticism and hopefully the venue can benefit. Overall I genuinely felt I had paid for a 5 star venue considering the price, the hotel is rated 4 star but definitely did not feel like a 4 star hotel or 4 star service.

Facilities were excellent. Laundry service was very convenient and considering options, the best choice both for cost & service.

We found the room a little warm. The breakfast coffee was atrocious (but breakfast was great otherwise).

It was an overall excellent experience. The location was easy to access from the highway. The facilities were very nice.

Bed very uncomfortable - it’s like the mattress hasn’t been changed in 20+ years two sunken dents on either side of the best which made it very uncomfortable. The doors are practically paper thin was woken up multiple times through the night and early morning with guests walking by. Very over priced for your money - check in at 4pm but the pool closes at 6:45pm isn’t convenient for guests. Shower head had no power and just dripped out…

The staff were so friendly and made it and the food was very good

General ambience and standard of hotel was good - staff were not the friendliest- could have been more pleasent particularly reception.

Nearby roundabout was excessively busy at all times and extremely difficult to cross- quite hazardous. I know its not the hotels problem- but notice of same would be helpful.

Beautiful location within walking distance of Donegal Town’s city centre. Accessible room was truly accessible; no A/C but room did come with a fan.

Spotless hotel, great room size and all beautifully decorated. Lots of little areas to sit both inside and outside, loved the fresh flowers dotted throughout. Breakfast was delicious- great selection for all tastes. Leisure facilities were super for our grandchildren and the adults alike. Convenient location within easy walking distance of Donegal town centre and easy driving to the beach etc . Would highly recommend

Minor road noise with window open

Room was clean and modern. Walked into Donegal centre where we had a wonderful evening in bars with live music and another with music and Irish dancers. The busy Italian fitted us in and we had a delicious meal.

Sadly the oil filler cap was stolen from my daughters motorbike whilst parked at this hotel. We didn't discover this until we were an hour away on our onward journey.

Beautiful surroundings

No air conditioning in our room. It was hot at night and uncomfortable for sleeping even with the fan and window open

Exceptional family run hotel, we were made feel part of the family. The staff were amazing in every way. The food was superb. Best Irish hotel we've had! And we will be returning as will everyone we have told about our stay.
