Hôtel Porte de Camargue - Les Quais d'Arles

It was clean and comfortable had easy access to everywhere.

There was no facility to make a drink in the room.

We stayed here for two nights and it was a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean better than some 4 stars I have stayed in. I highly recommend this place.

Parking was a challenge since there is no dedicated parking. Public parking was available nearby.

The outside of the hotel does not look very inviting, neither does the neighborhood it is in. But do not let yourself be fooled by looks. The inside is very tastefully done and the hotel is managed at a high professional level. Our room had a carpet, visible beam on the ceiling and windows. Everything worked in the bathroom and it was clean. We slept well. The breakfast room is dominated by an old (now defunct) fireplace. This is an old house, which has been renovated tastefully and in a practical way. The hotel is near the bridge "Pont de Trinquetaille" and when you walk to the other side of the bridge, toward the town center, you can see the stairways of the bridge that Vincent Van Gogh had painted. :-)

Getting to the hotel was slightly confusing, with narrow roads, most of them one-ways, and lots going on on them (construction). The receptionist suggested leaving our car on one of the two free public parking spaces near the hotel. We chose the closer one at the Square Saint-Pierre, on the other side of the street that leads to the bridge. All worked well.

Cleanliness of the hôtel. Everything was ready and perfectly clean upon our arrival. It is nice to see that the standards can be kept high even for a two stars hotel ! Well-done

No parking available, had to search for a place during 10 min. The air-conditioning struggled during the night. Temperatures were really high in Arles when we arrived.
