Es war ein sehr schöner, erholsamer Aufenthalt.

Der Besitzer des Hotels ist überaus freundlich und versucht, einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Unser Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und sauber. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und frisch. Das Abendessen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Das Hotel ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung zu unternehmen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Besondere Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Frühstück und Abendessen - wir kommen gerne wieder

Eine besondere Unterkunft mit etwas antiquirter Zimmereinrichtung, aber trotzdem eine Empfehlung von uns. Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Frühstück hervorragend. Auch das Abendessen als besonderer Service des Hotels war sehr gut. Für ein paar Nächte sehr gut geeignet.

Können wir nicht empfehlen, nicht mal für 1 Nacht. Liegt aber nicht am Personal, dass ist wirklich super.

Personal super freundlich und zuvorkommend (hilft einem auch die Koffer hochtragen). Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf die Maja Suite im 3 Stock erhalten. Zimmer sehr groß, aber leider ist das Hotel älter und selbst, wenn das Personal noch so bemüht ist, war das Zimmer staubig und überall im Teppich waren noch Frauenhaare von der Vormieterin zu sehen. Hauptmanko: es riecht extrem stark im ganzen Haus nach altem Fett.

Palace Hotel voelt de gast zich welkom

Gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid gastheer. Mogelijkheid van half-pension. Goed eten en luxe ontbijt. Het verhaal van de eigenaar over de leegloop van het dorp en de wil om met het hotel iets van de grandeur en stijl van het verleden te behouden doet je hopen dat er meer reizigers zijn die wat buiten de standaard highlights durven kiezen.

Uitstraling van de omgeving is die van vergane glorie. Maar dat maakt de prestaties van het Palace Hotel misschien wel des te opmerkelijk.

Ein Hotel mit eigenem Charme und einem sehr netten Gastgeber. Ich würde wiederkommen.

Da die Bewertungen für das Hotel sehr stark schwanken von einem Stern bis 5 Sterne, war ich gespannt wie es wird. Das Hotel ist an einem Parkplatz direkt am kleinen Bahnhof. Ja, es ist von innen etwas old school, hat aber seinen Charme. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmr war gut, auch wenn an einer Stelle der Decke sich die Farbe bereits löste. Im Preis war ein Abendessen inklusive, es gab (ohne Wahlmöglichkeit unter der Woche) Fisch in Weißweinsoße. Meine Kinder essen nicht gerne Fisch, aber es hat Ihnen sehr gut geschmeckt. Am Wochenende ist die Auswahl wohl größer. Auch das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Am besten aber ist die Freundlichkeit des Besitzers, er erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch, von daher kann ich das Hotel, durchaus empfehlen.

Man könnte an der einen oder anderen Stelle mal renovieren, viel wichtiger war uns, dass man sich bei Christian Willkommen fühlte.

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel… das Zimmer war sehr groß und sauber. Es gab ein vielseitiges Frühstück, die Tische waren mit Damasttischtüchern und echten Kerzen gedeckt… schon sehr charmant… ebenso wie der wirklich gut gelaunte Chef… danke für das Upgrade!

Das Hotel hat Blick auf den See, allerdings ist der ganze Ort absolut ausgestorben und in der Vergangenheit stehen geblieben.

Die Betten waren sehr gut.

Wir hatten uns von der Bewertung fehlleiten lassen. Die Bilder vermitteln einen total falschen Eindruck. Das Hotel ist schmuddelig und heruntergekommen. Das Personal war sehr nett, schien aber überfordert zu sein. Der Betrieb war chaotisch. Eines Abends lag das Putzmittel auf dem gemachten Bett. Auf das Frühstück verzichteten wir nach erster Erfahrung. Wir wollten nur noch weg.

Ein schönes Hotel, mit gehobenem Ambiente mit sehr gutem Preisleistungsverhältnis!

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Busbahnhof und in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Der Besitzer ist ein charmanter, aufmerksamer Mann. Das Frühstück inbegriffen war mehr als reichhaltig. Sensationell gut. Der Service war erstklassig.

Nur das Waschbecken im Bad ist einwenig klein, aber dass ist bei dem Preisleistungsverhältnis leicht hinzunehmen.

Positiv überrascht

Dieses mit Liebe eingerichtete Hotel ist in der Ausstattung was fürs Auge. Jedes Handtuch, Serviette, Bademantel, Teller, Tassen, Untersetzer... Alles ist mit dem Hotelemblem versehen. Antikes Mobiliar runden den tollen Eindruck ab. Als wir ankamen haben wir sogar noch warmes Abendessen bekommen, was überraschenderweise im Preis enthalten war. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und ausreichend. Besonders beeindruckt war ich von der Nachhaltigkeit! Keine Papierservietten oder Tischdecke, alles hochwertiges Tuch. Das Food als auf Platten oder in Gläsern. Der Grundgedanke, sowenig Abfall wie möglich ist überall zu finden.

Bei genauerem Hinsehen fehlt hier und da handwerkliches Geschick um noch das I-Tüpfelchen zu setzen. Aber bei dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis durchaus vernachlässigbar.

Ein kostspieliges Trauerspiel!

Rein gar nichts - das Hotel schien offen zu sein, doch empfangen hat uns um kurz vor 18.00 Uhr trotz mehrmaligem läuten und rufen gar niemand. Auch telefonisch antwortete auf mehrmalige Versuche niemand! So was haben wir (70) noch nie erlebt!! Nach einer halben Stunde des Wartens im äusserst ungepflegten, schmutzigen und übelst riechenden Hoteleingang sahen wir uns gezwungen, uns in ein anderes Hotel zu verschieben, nachdem auch mehrere Versuche, uns bei Booking.com zu informieren und zu beschweren, fehlschlugen. Wir werden somit nach den Ferien bei Booking.com unser Recht erstreiten. Der Vermittlerplattform raten wir dringend, dieses Hotel unverzüglich aus dem Angebot zu streichen, das ist rufschädigend für Booking.com, die sonst sehr gute Arbeit leisten. Was das Palace Hotel auf seiner Website anbietet, ist in jeder Hinsicht falsch und gelogen - eine reine Katastrophe!

Toller Service, saubere, gemütliche Zimmer

Die Lage am Bahnhof wirkt bei Ankunft etwas trostlos, aber das Hotel ist wirklich super! Zimmer sehr sauber, es gab sogar Bademäntel, das Frühstück war reichhaltig, das hoteleigene Restaurant war auch ausgezeichnet! Cristian leistete einen ganz tollen Service! Er half uns mit den schweren Koffern und war überhaupt immer freundlich, lachend und hilfsbereit, egal ob als Rezeptionist oder im Restaurant als Bedienung oder beim Frühstück!! Vielen Dank 😊 Klare Empfehlung ♥️👍 In ca.20-25 Minuten ist man übrigens in Vimmerby, ach Netflix gibt's auch😁

Ein Hotel, das ich nicht weiterempfehle und auch sicher nicht mehr buchen werde.

Ich hatte ja die negativen Bewertungen nicht so ganz geglaubt, doch den kann ich nur zustimmen. Von der Eingangstür bis zum Frühstück, konnte man sich nur wundern. Kamen um ca. 16:00 Uhr . Außer einem anderen Pärchen war niemand zu sehen. Wir haben mindestens 20 Minuten gewartet. Dann kam ein junger Mann, der wusste nicht Bescheid. Nach einem kurzen Telefonat erhielten wir den Schlüssel für unser Zimmer. Wir waren schon in sehr vielen Unterkünften, aber so etwas haben wir noch nie gesehen. Der gesamte Eingangsbereich war einfach nur schmuddelig und unaufgeräumt. Da helfen auch Kronleuchter an der Decke nicht um dies zu übersehen. Das Zimmer war soweit ok, aber sehr klein. Ein plus, es gab einen Balkon. Den Besitzer haben wir erst zum Frühstück gesehen. Er war sehr freundlich, allerdings auch etwas zerstreut.

Überall Schmutz ! Die Zuckerdose, die uns an den Tisch gebracht wurde, war auch als Aschenbecher genutzt.

Måste upplevas!

Fantastiskt bemötande av engagerad personal helt i "Majas anda" efter att ha sett dokumentären om hennes livsverk. Hon som drev hotellet fram till 95 års ålder. En eloge till Christian och hans personal! Måste upplevas om man nu har vägarna förbi Hultsfred.

Kanske lite mera upprustning av omkringmiljön som var sliten. Duschutrymmet kunde vara större.

Läget mitt i centrum vid stationen med stor parkering utanför. Den mysiga högklassiga atmosfären med gammal stilkänsla. Trevlig, hjälpsam värd. God kvällsmat och överdådig frukost.

En kul och annorlunda hotellupplevelse där personalen gjorde sitt yttersta för att vi skulle trivas.

Ett hotell med mycket personlighet. Gyllene tapeter och antika speglar. Kristallkrona på rummet. Morgonrockar. Vi bodde under den lugnare delen av året och kunde avnjuta en skön, lugn kväll på balkongen. Vid frukosten saknades absolut ingenting.

Vi bad om en mjuk säng...men den var för mjuk.

Vårt favorithotell

Äntligen ytterligare ett besök på Palace hotell i Hultsfred bara för att vi behövde ha trevligt och njuta av en vacker miljö, god mat och personalen som gör allt för att du ska känna dig väl till mods. Jag har nu skummat igenom i stort sett alla recensioner om Palace och de flesta skriver så fint och vi delar deras upplevelser om att det här är en pärla. Men så finns det de med kritiska glasögon på som bara ser det som inte är perfekt. Så tråkig inställning. Det måste vara svårt att leva upp till deras förväntningar, kanske i Singapore, att de där hittar ett perfekt hotell, men då får de se upp själva så de inte bötlälls för något brott som att missa soptunnan och att glasspappret hamnar på trottoaren. Vill man så hittar man fel överallt. Betänk den varma inredningen, levande ljus, fint porslin, god middagsmat och frukost. Vi var nu lite sena ner till frukosten så då ställde Christian fram allt man kan önska bara till oss. Så omtänksamt. Och så får vi inte glömma den osedvanligt ovanliga förmånen att få sova på manglade lakan och få manglade dukar och servetter vid måltiderna. Bara det! Den som någon gång manglat vet vilket arbete som ligger bakom. Att uppskatta det gör ditt liv roligare. Och jag, som nästan har bacillskräck känner mig helt lugn i hotellets sköna, rena sängar. Vi brukar ta sviten högst upp och titta bara på kristallkronan på vårt våningsplan så vacker den är. Det här är det trevligaste hotellet jag varit på och då har jag ändå bott på hotell i Singapore :-)

Poorly managed

Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of items (though not always replenished); location is quite central and close to major road axis. The double room is spacious. Our had a shared balcony.

I join the other comments stating that the management of this hotel is chaotic. We were supposed to have half board (and chose the hotel specifically for that service), but when we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was closed. We would have dinner in a nearby restaurant. We went for a hike and came back, only to discover that the restaurant was actually… closed as well. Not only we would have appreciated to know all that before arriving, but the least that could have been done is to have checked if the backup solution was actually one! The solution offered was a kebab/pizzeria, which we declined because that was not what we wanted. The rest of the experience is quite similar: when we arrived, the bed linens were carelessly left on the floor and we had to slalom to our room, which was clearly not cleaned up to what a 3* hotel should be: hairs everywhere in the shower and sink, drawings from the previous kids in the cabinet drawers, not to mention the crumbs and candy wrappers… When we left, no question about the stay, only the price of the dinner was deduced but no discount nor excuses. The only feeling that we have is that it was somewhat done on purpose to avoid loosing our booking (which would be deceiving), or that the hotel management was not capable enough to anticipate this kind of situation. In both cases, not very 3*-like.

Personal and service-minded reception. Very good breakfast buffeé. Plus for upgrade to exceptional suite with two bathrooms and an enormous bathtub, which exceeded our expectations and made our stay a wonderful getaway. I'd say you don't find hotels like these in larger cities.
