I would definitely come back

Room size is great and location also is amazing. For our family of 4, it was two connecting rooms with a lot of space and a common living room

Not enough parking spaces, but that doesn’t really affect our stay as public garage is less than 100mts away

Extremely rude staff, Not welcoming, great location!

This hotel is in an excellent location and there is parking available that is cheeper than the near by parking garage. There was a classic german breakfast available, and the rooms were fairly big

The Staff was so rude. The night i made a last minute reservation through Booking.com via Google hotels, I arrived and there was no one at the front desk, i rang the bell, and a woman in her pajamas came out and was confused to see me and the dog I was traveling with. she said that there were no dogs allowed, but I explained that Google Hotel listed this as dog friendly and that I booked through booking.com. She was annoyed and let me stay. In the morning, when i I literally just finished packing, I recieved a violent knock on the door, right at 11:00am only to find the woman from last night with a print out from booking.com saying dogs were not allowed. She was liturally ushering me out of the room, which was a complete first for me, and by far the worst experience i have had at a hotel. To be very clear- My dog wasnt barking, I liturally slept the entire time or went to the sauna becuase I was driving for 7 hours from Itally the night before, and I was not being disrespectful in anyway. Granted this was caused because of the difference between Google Hotel and Booking.com, but I would never treat a guest like that.

Fantastic location in the centre. Private parking right outside although quite a tight entrance. Plenty of restaurants close by. The breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Ps probably one of the best showers I’ve ever used 😉

Hotel Etol is a polished gem!

Hotel Etol is the perfect small hotel in a superb location close to everything—dining of all types, wonderful shopping, gorgeous parks, the Casino, thermal baths, theatre—and all of it embraced by stunning historical architecture. Our breakfasts were exceptional with lots of choice with something for everyone, from excellent bread rolls to cereal, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, and dark bread, and even smoked salmon and trout. The manager is very friendly and professional and works hard to make one’s stay comfortable. The hotel is set in a courtyard away from street traffic and where we had a parking spot for 15 euros per night. We are beyond pleased and will stay there again!

Great location, everything else mediocre.

Great location

Parking is limited. The room was very hot (June 2025). No AC. The person working there was not very friendly. As my 3 year old finished the breakfast very fast and we had to leave, I wanted to take my coffee upstairs. However, this is against rules, of which I was strongly reminded of. Come on....relax.

Great stay for 3

In town, easy walking to distance to town. Our room was great for 3 people- amazing bathroom and shower. Terrific breakfast- best we have had so far in Europe. Highly recommend.

Not what I expected...

The location is good. The staff is friendly.

It wasn't what I expected. It wasn't very comfortable. - Bed was not very comfortable. - Smell funny (not bad, just a strange smell in the room) - No lift, just stairs. - There were some spider webs in the bathroom. - Poor breakfast, especially if you have restrictions or are vegan.

My family and I did a road trip in July and stayed at several hotels during our vacation. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed at this trip. So comfortable, with family room, breakfast included and they even had the attention to prepare our table with kids plates and so on.

No Elevator inside, we have payed a park for 10€ per night but I have discussed with the receptionist because our car ( volvo V60) was tò big . Finally i parked under a house in refurbishment... The rooms are old , expecially the bathroom. Another hotel good only into the pictures on booking

We arrived on a motorcycle and i was shown a tiny space to park it and was led to believe it was free as a full carpark space was charged €10 . When it came to paying our bill in the morning , I was charged €10. Bit disappointed....

The location is very good and convenient to the downtown area and walking distance to the spa.

The room was large and accommodating but very dated. Lack of air conditioning was challenging but the fans provided were appreciated. Breakfast was adequate but less than other hotels.

Horrible staff!

The breakfast was very good. The hotel is located in the centre and just a 10 minute busdrive away from the main train station. There are many nice restaurants and bars in walking distance.

We had the worst experience with the lady at the reception. My boyfriend booked our room twice by mistake. She was unwilling to help us and incompetent to handle our request to cancel the second room. Through the policy of booking.com we found out that only a payment for the first night was required. During our stay I asked the receptionist multiple times to cancel the second room, but she refused. We never got the keys to that room though and didn't use it at all. I started to suspect that she tried to scam us. It all ended in a big confrontation: she threatened us, threw her keys and then ran away to hide in the kitchen for a while. She seemed unable to have a normal conversation about possible solutions and lacked any experience in customer service. Her behavior put a lot of stress on our trip and made the whole experience unpleasant for anyone involved.

Bed mattress is very uncomfortable and the pillows are too thin n flat which couldn’t provide any neck support. they need to be replaced totally!
