Mercure Paris Velizy

What I did like was that when we arrived at the hotel, it was around 11 a.m., and I was supposed to wait for check-in around 15 o'clock , and the receptionist Joris told me to wait ,then he called me that the room was available we can go in , and then sorted out everything at the reception and went to the room. He was very friendly together with his colleagues. The breakfast buffet was good 👍

What I didn't like was the distance from everything that we should visit ,I spent more money on the taxi ,it would be better and easier to be more in central close to walk and use public transport. Anyway, there was a big mall near called Westfield 5 min walk .

The pool was amazing with very convenient opening times. In the good days the breakfast was rich and abundant. The bed was comfortable. The parking doesn't need to be booked and this is awesome. The vicinity to the shopping center is a plus.

The breakfast some days was a bit scarce, and there was a low tolerance for delays, which were of course on us. The bathroom was clean but a bit old.

My 6yo daughter's first time in a hotel and she was impressed. We received an upgrade which was a lovely touch. The pool area was nice and the breakfast was fantastic.

Water fountain on the 6th floor couldn't be found but it was not an issue

The location is good. Close to the shopping centre. Easy to get into the city from.

The room window did not shut properly which allowed the cold in. Staff at breakfast don't really bring more food out. For example if you go to breakfast forty-five minutes before closing and the scrambled egg and bacon is finished, no one brings out any more. Also, we asked the bar staff for more tea bags for the room. They did not have any. They took me to reception as they would have some. But they didn't either. They said room service will replenish it in the morning. Room service did not replenish and teabags etc throughout our stay. In fact, they didn't even tidy and replace used cups.
