A very relaxing, welcome after a long drive

Friendliness of staff and restaurant food. Characterful building

Window in room was so high my wife could not see out but we realised that was due the fact that the hotel is a period property

First impression was that the room was cool, even though it was 30 degrees plus outside, which was nice. Nice sized room with a balcony. Wood floor. The staff made you feel at home, and made for a very relaxed stay. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The service was attentive, and the potion sizes were well judged, not too big and not too small. Stand out were the perfect egg starter and beef main course. Cheeses were local and well contrasting. Impressed by the wines by the glass list which included a special edition Maury blended from three old vintages and a Gros Manseng from the south west, commonly seen in blends like Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh. Had a good chat with the sommelier about these and some of the more obscure red options as well. The pool was a nice size and temperature. Did not have the optional breakfast. Plenty of parking.

It had a Tesla charger.

The food van arrived very early in the morning and parked right outside our window for 30 minutes with it's engine going to keep the contents refrigerated. Impossible to sleep. It's a hotel that's in a state of change, the room was quite nice but the public areas were shabby.
