Fernanda is the absolute heart of this place! She is there every day doing a bit of everything for everyone, and it amazed me how much love and care she puts into the property. The location is absolute perfection, steeped in history, and the architecture is amazing—you have so much to explore just by walking through the library. ​Beyond the setting, Fernanda's cooking is soul food at its finest. If you decide to stay here, you have to have dinner every day; it is truly the best! The pool is incredibly clean, and their wine is amazing and very well-priced. Just be ready to gain a few pounds and feel completely spoiled! This is the ultimate spot to unwind and relax, and Fernanda's constant smile will make you feel right at home.

​We absolutely loved this place and recommend it to the moon and back! The property itself is beautiful, but Fernanda is by far the heart and soul of the entire experience. She works tirelessly from morning until night with a warm smile on her face, ensuring every guest is looked after. She is the ultimate asset to this property. ​Our only constructive feedback relates to the atmosphere when the owners and their extended family were on-site. Because the property has a wonderfully intimate, home-like feel, having the family use the communal facilities (like the pool and dining areas) as guests made the boundaries feel very blurry. At times, it felt like we were intruding on a private family holiday rather than staying at a commercial property. Furthermore, seeing the owners being hosted alongside us naturally added to the day-to-day hosting requirements on-site. As paying guests, it simply made us feel a bit uncomfortable to sit back and relax when it was visually clear just how much heavy lifting falls onto a single person to manage the entire estate. Fernanda handles it all with total grace, but from an outside perspective, the workload appeared heavy. ​Fernanda is an exceptional host who carries the entire spirit of this property. We had a wonderful time and truly hope the management recognizes and highly values just how vital she is to the success of the guest experience!

Amazing property, Fernada looked after us so well. Delicious breakfast and fresh fruit from the gardens. Use of the tennis courts and pool was so fantastic.

Highlight of the stay was Fernanda, the hostess who cooked us beautiful meals each evening and gave us lots of interesting information about the food. The grounds are gorgeous with stunning views. We loved morning tennis games and chilling by the pool. The Quinta is secluded so we had a car to get round but there is also a taxi service in the area and a train station a 10 min drive away.
