Great for a short stay in Queretaro

Very clean low end budget hotel in great location with kind but unhelpful front desk staff

A very basic low end budget hotel in a great location. Front desk staff are friendly but don’t help with any issues or tourist questions. Unpleasant check in when they wanted to give a terrible room on the lowest floor in front of the elevator despite prior emails and their acknowledgment noting I was requesting upper floor and quiet for my long -4 day -stay. After a bit they found me a better room. It was a bad start. The rooms are very basic, bad pillows, mattress is fine, housekeeping is very good. Location is terrific. But its very low end budget (although not reflected in the pricing )so keep your expectations low. Good elevator, a/c worked well in my room and was quiet. Wifi in upper floors was weak.

The unpleasant check in and the inability of front desk staff to help with any issue/questions (and I speak Spanish). Pillows are dreadful. Noted they have coffee machine- they don’t. Also the cafeteria is now closed- site needs to be updated. They had no tourist information except one common booklet. When I asked about guides- noted they help with tours on their Web site- they said to just go outside and look for one of the ‘guys’ that tout themselves as guides. Not helpful at all (I went to the Gran Hotel and was referred to a wonderful guide).

Location was excelent. The room was convenient because of the three beds. Hotel staff was nice and friendly. The valet parking is so convenient. Parking is dificult in that area. By plus on the valet.

the room and furniture is out dated. The water for the shower is a light spray. I know we have to conserve water but it took a long time to shower due to this. If you like hot showers this is not the place.

We were impressed with the hotel, facilities and staff. It was a positive experience!

Excellent location, professional and friendly staff, in-room safe, clean and quiet room (windows were high quality that provided good sound insulation from street noise), great water pressure and hot water, and elevator. Oscar escorted us to the parking garage and he was always available to provide recommendations. He is a sincerely kind person with a warm smile who always greeted us at the door. The cleaning woman ensured that we had everything we needed. And the front desk people were very efficient and professional. All staff and guests adhered to covid precautions. The location was close to everything including the OXXO store, restaurants, a panaderia, city squares, and banks. It was a simple room, but had everything we expected and needed for a downtown hotel.

The parking situation was a little confusing, but could be improved with printed instructions and a map to the parking garage. Morning coffee would have been appreciated, but it's not a big problem.
