db Seabank Resort + Spa All Inclusive

The room we were given was 3416 it was a family room with 2 x single beds and one double bed with a sliding divider between the two rooms. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable, bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed in at a hotel which was great, there was a small balcony overlooking the road and allotment and if you looked around the wall you could see the sea. There was a lot of road noise which I heard until 2am and then again from 6am. Before we unpacked and settled into the room I asked reception for a quieter room as I am a light sleeper but the manager said that I had only just arrived so had not tried to sleep in the room. The manager keep repeating that I had only booked a standard room, and said that they had already given me a complementary upgrade (??). As we were out of season there were additional pool view rooms available which is on the other side of the corridor so quieter but would not allow me to move without paying an additional 200 Euros for the 4 nights. I was not trying to get a pool view room just a quieter room but was not prepared to pay that much extra so we had to stay in the room and I had very little sleep. I felt the manager obviously was not concerned about ensuring visitors had a comfortable stay. There were ceiling fans for the hot days which were also a little noisy. The bathroom had a bath and shower and the room was cleaned daily and fresh towels when needed. There was a wardrobe, safe, fridge and a tv in each room. The sockets and tv's were not working when we arrived which were quickly resolved when we reported the issues. We then found that the main door would not lock from the inside, the bathroom door would not lock (I wondered if this was deliberate as it was a family room so would stop children locking themselves in) and the toilet flush leaked, these were also reported but not fixed. The hotel buffet food was plentiful so easy to find something to eat, there were additional restaurants that can be booked but have a limited menu. If you wish to drink during the day you have to get a token from the gift shop for 2 euro each cup, also pool towels require a 10 euro deposit each, towels can be changed daily if you want. The shop was very well stocked so if you forgot something you would have no problem getting it there. The outdoors pools are not heated so unable to use as they were freezing, the indoor pool is heated but small so very busy at times. The spa has treatment rooms which my daughter had a back/shoulder/neck massage with facial and said it was lovely, it also has a steam room and sauna for everyone to use. They put entertainment on each evening, we had a singer one evening and although he had a good voice, the room cleared. We had dancers and singers one evening, another evening they did a show dressed as Disney characters and the last evening was karaoke but you had to book in during the day if you wanted to sing, they would not take any requests on the night. There was some daytime events advertised but we went out so I cannot comment. There did not seem to be a lot in the area so evenings were spent in the hotel so pleased we were all inclusive for that reason. There is a starbucks and beach across the road, the bus stop is very close tot he hotel and buses run regularly. The hotel will also sell you trips or hop on hop off bus tickets.

Great stay at the seabank. Karen on reception sorted me a lovely room, soaked in sunshine 🌞, in January. Marion Spiteri was extremely helpful, and Donald in the sports bar, makes a mean mojito

Had another fantastic stay at Seabank. Loved my room chosen by Marion guest relations she ie do hardworking and takes her job very seriously my stay was also enhanced by Igor at reception- he remembered me from two years ago and could even remember which room number I was in last and he always stopped for a chat and wanted to make sure my holiday was running smoothly - a top man. Thank You Igor Jonathan in the restaurant is the same he always remembers me too and is always smiling and too stops me for s chat. Brilliant staff, hotel was kept very clean, lots of choice of food. Loved the Indoor pool for winter swims. Happy Christmas Seabank and happy New Year See you on my next visit

Food was horrible, bland and tasteless (except the Middle Eastern restaurant on site which was nice). Staff were all rude, disinterested and unfriendly. Entertainment is only suitable for young kids. Apparently no double beds so my partner and I had to sleep in two separate beds pushed together. Really expensive for what it is - get much better value in airbnbs and in other all inclusives. Close to the beach but is located on a main road so all the views and sounds are of cars. Definitely wouldn't recommend or stay again.
