Lovely lodge,awesome staff, spa on site Restaurant excellent.

Can't fault anything

We were welcomed very warmly and given a short tour of the accommodation, communal areas plus our rooms. We had dinner plans somewhere else so the process of coming back after reception area closed down for the night was explained to us, very simple and helpful to know. The breakfast was delicious and I was really delighted to see a pistachio paste available, along with other jams and marmalades. I also appreciated that the lid wasn't closed over the hashbrowns, so they were still nice and crisp! The man who helped us at the bar the evening we arrived made an excellent vodka-tonic water (and fresh lime slice) - I sadly didn't get his name. We also loved the little cookies that came with the bed turn down. Bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The water in the mini fridge was also appreciated.

My only criticism was the very strong smell of the plugin peaceful sleep. I don't tend to mind the smell but my partner finds it difficult and he unplugged it. We understand the reasoning for it (obviously we hate the mozzies more), so not sure if there is a solution, but just wanted to raise it.

The food and privacy

Nice to have bush buck and other animals wandering around. Rooms very comfortable. Service was generally attentive.

Building and maintenance work going on while we were having lunch. A lot of the food was far too salty. The packed breakfast on the Game drive was awful and anyway the stop was at Mugg and Bean (although that was not explained until we got there).
