We had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious and well equipped, with a backyard and even a vegetable garden. The owner, Christos, was very welcoming and helpful, and it was easy to feel at home. The house has private parking and within a few minutes’ walk there are grocery stores, a small pastry shop, and some very nice family-run tavernas. Two nice beaches (Chalikounas and Prasoudi) are about a 10–15 minute drive away, and Corfu Town is about 40 minutes by car. Please note that the roads are narrow and winding, so driving is slow (as in many parts of the island). It’s a perfect choice if you are looking for a very comfortable stay in a less touristy and more authentic village.

Spacious 3-storey house with a nice backyard and horticultural patch with fresh veggies. The furniture was comfortable and the house was very well equipped. We were welcomed by Christos who showed us the house and left some local treats. Christos checked in on us everyday and shared some local tips. The house is located in a traditional village where the locals like to hang out on the street every-night and there some nice tavernas and a great base to explore the island if you have a car.

Christos, our host, was very helpful all the time and also a great partner for discussions on different themes, he also invited us to a concert which was held in the village.
The house is perfectly suited for a group of 6-8 friends and/or the same number of people from an extended family. The whole house is decorated with a great sense of good taste, the colors are well matched, the furniture, the paintings on the walls are all very well chosen. The courtyard in the back is a great place to spend the evenings after a day at the beach.
Christos helped us prepare a barbeque un one of the evenings.
The beds are very comfortable and the rooms generous what the surface is concerned.
A great experience altogether staying at Glavounos House! I gladly reccomend!
