Beautiful home in very nice area

Difficult to find. Need better instructions and something to identify it as “Rubys Beachhouse” All we saw was the leasing company’s name and had not even paid attention to that before. A neighbor 3 buildings down had to show us where the house actually was.

Location and the amenities in the kitchen were great.

The house itself is lovely and very well located, with easy access to East Beach and a beautiful view. The setup of the home and the quality of the kitchen appliances were great and made our stay comfortable in that respect. Unfortunately, the main issue that lets this property down is cleanliness and maintenance. There were filthy stains on the rugs in both the lounge and dining areas, which really need to be replaced. Upstairs in the master bedroom, there were dead insects, bugs and moths smashed and stuck to the blinds. We also found used bandaids under the bed in the downstairs back room, which was extremely unpleasant. There was a hanging cord from a blind in the main room that would not be compliant for a holiday rental, a broken chair in the master bedroom that was unsafe to sit on, and leaves and debris left in the entrance foyer on arrival. Overall, the house was not up to standard. This property has so much potential and could be a stunning beach house, but it needs a thorough deep clean, replacement of rugs and cushions, and an overall upgrade of furnishings and fittings. At present, it feels tired and dirty despite the beautiful location and view.
