Until recently, LA FORANA HOUSE was a small and typical farmhouse in our western part of the island of Elba, where all the inhabitants worked the land and especially the vineyard. Even today the small village of CHIESSI is surrounded by the ancient terraces on which the wine was cultivated. Today the old mule trackers, who used to carry the grapes from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the donkey, have become hiking trails. From CHIESSI you reach the highest peaks of the Monte Capanne massif (1018m).
LA LA FORANA HOUSE has been completely restored in 2015 with great taste and care for details and with just fine finishings. It is a small gem in the heart of CHIESSI, one of the most authentic seaside villages on Elba Island.
It is named after a large granite cliff in the area called LA FORANA.
The house is on two levels with a large living room with open kitchen of high standard: ILVE oven with 4 burners and fish in the center; large fridge column, hidden in a cute wardrobe, antique marble sink, antique tiles, and so on.
There is a double sofa bed in the living room. The living room connects with the first, beautiful and spacious bathroom with large shower with crystal walls and large waterfall as well as a basin sink made of an old olive trunk.
A comfortable staircase leads upstairs with a double bedroom, open to the rest of the house, and another beautiful bathroom with just a crystal shower cabin with shower head. From the room you access the large sun terrace of the first floor from which you enjoy the sea view. The terrace for its south exposure is especially suitable for sunbathing in the low season, protected by the north winds.
The whole house is very bright with finishing touches: oak floors (no ceramics!), antique wooden fixtures, air conditioning (with heating) in all environments.
Beautiful the large outdoor space with porch, equipped with table and chairs and teak sunbeds.
The house is equipped with WiFi, air conditioning with heating and private parking.

Casa curatissima nei dettagli e molto accogliente. Perfetta per una romantica vacanza.Tranquillità, tramonti da godere in una piccola oasi di pace. Bellissimo il portico giardino e il terrazzino da cui ammirare tramonti e stelle. L’host molto gentile ci ha accolto con un pensiero del proprio orto e con una confettura fatta dalla signora. Speriamo una esperienza da ripetere.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, das liebevoll eingerichtet ist und eine schöne Terrasse hat. Das Haus liegt an der Ortsdurchgangsstraße (die Terrasse nicht direkt, da eine andere Terrasse davor ist) , es war aber bei unserem Aufenthalt im Juni nicht viel Verkehr. Das Örtchen Chiessi ist sehr beschaulich und ruhig, es gibt einen kleinen Strand. Einkäufe müssen im Nachbarort getätigt werden. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.
