Samui Zenity

Second time staying here. The place is a little gem! We love it. Really well cared for, lovely owners and staff, great pool, very very clean. Fantastic facilities and a great free beach shuttle which was a great added extra. Staff are on hand to help with anything and I mean anything! They were great.

This is a great place for families. The resort is run by lovely, friendly French people who go over and above looking after their guests. The room was an excellent size. It included a fridge, a kettle, a lounge area with tv and a fan, plus air conditioning. There is an outside sitting area on the balcony overlooking the pool. The bed is really comfortable. The room felt homely. There is also a gym and fabulous swimming pool. The pool caters to both children and adults with a great slide dropping you into the pool water. There is a play area with toys/books for the kids, a small restaurant area, pool lounges and 2 pool huts. In fact you probably don't want to leave the resort because it has everything you need from an accommodation perspective. They run a shuttle service to the main street over the course of the day.

The resort is about 1.1km from the main road, so a scooter helps to get you to where you want to go, particularly as taxis/uber are quite expensive on the island. Be mindful this is an island and sometimes island services like electricity can occasionally get interrupted. So a little patience and understanding goes a long way. The staff keep you totally informed of any issues as it is out of their control.

The hotel offers good value for money. The pool and slide were great fun, the bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with the hammocks. The reasonably priced motorbike rental was also very convenient. If you're planning to explore Koh Samui by scooter, it's a good base.

There are a few practical points worth noting. The hotel is around a 15–20 minute walk from both the nearest 7-Eleven and the beach, so having your own transport is recommended. There was construction taking place across the road during our stay, and guests were regularly smoking cannabis outside their rooms, which may not be suitable for families or those seeking a quieter environment. Communication could occasionally be difficult, as some staff had limited English. Unfortunately, what most affected our stay was the way a customer service issue was handled. We ordered food through Grab, but due to a misunderstanding it was never left at the hotel. We accept that mistakes happen and that the driver also played a part in the confusion. However, our disappointment was not about the missing food itself—it was the response afterwards. We were initially told that no one knew anything about the delivery, only to later discover that a member of staff had in fact interacted with the driver when he arrived. Rather than receiving an honest explanation or a simple apology, we felt our concerns were met with defensiveness and we were made to feel as though raising the issue was the problem. By the following morning, despite planning to extend our stay, we decided to leave because we no longer felt welcome. For us, good hospitality is not about never making mistakes—it's about how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and empathy left us with a disappointing final impression of what is otherwise a hotel with plenty of potential.
