Kamala Hills Serviced Apartments

The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a short home stay or even longer. Good-sized bedrooms, comfy beds and a nicely set up kitchen. The air conditioner works well. It was lovely to sit on the balcony at night and first thing in the morning and hear the jungle. It is a bit out of the way, so it is quite quiet, which was perfect for us. You will need the use of Grab or hire your own transport to get in and out of Kamala and beyond. The pool was nice and a lovely area to chill out in.

It is a 45min walk to the beach along a road that isn't the best for walking along. The nearest proper-ish shop (7-11) is about a 25 min walk away. These are workable options if you have your own transport though, or make sure to get what you need before returning in a Grab/Taxi/Tuk-Tuk or your own hired scooter.

The size and location of the apartment is ok. The extrenal infrastructure ( swimmingpool, gardening, etc....) is absolutely ok. The place is a little far from the beach (vehicle is neccessary) but it is in the middle of a tropic forest (we meet a tropic snake in the entrance door :)

The maintenanace of the apartment: the 2nd day one of the toilet was bolcked and was not worked properly. We noticed it but in two days nothing happend so finally we resolved it ourself with a toilet pump. The quality of the apartment: the microwave was bad and it was working very loudly. Some of the built is furnitures were in a bad condition (foundered doors and drawer covers). Generally everything was acceptable but the condition of the apartment is used and not a newly refurbished one. The 10 years of using from the construction is visible. If somebody wants to rent scooter it is recommended to do it separatly and not with the help of the apartment owner. We didn't do so and because of that we rented it much more above the market price. 250THB instead of 150 THB per day for a 125 ccm sccoter.
