Wonderful place & excellent hosts in a beautiful area

Such a wonderful place to stay in an amazing area with beautiful walks and nature. So many thoughtful and personalised touches with the welcome basket and arrival information that had clearly been tailored to us. Liz and Neil let us borrow their mountain bikes and even checked to make sure the tyres were pumped up beforehand! The guide had fab recommendations of things to do and Liz also got in touch with us about wildlife in the garden + when they were planning to get a local home cooked takeaway- highly recommend CC’s kitchen food too. We absolutely loved looking out for ceilidh and Rosie - the highland cows who come right up to the fence and made it that bit more special! The hot tub was also brilliant after a long day out hiking. The place itself is very comfy and tastefully decorated, and in particularly the kitchen is very well stocked with all the equipment that we needed. Overall a brilliant stay - full of both the adventure and peace that we needed; all 4 of us absolutely loved our time at tanar view.

Tanar View was the perfect place to get away from it all. There wasn’t anything the hosts hadn’t thought of and the weat

The house had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay - the welcome basket of goodies was lovely, the surrounding countryside beautiful and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a day’s walking. Although the hosts weren’t around the Tanar View App was full of helpful information and Liz checked in occasionally by text which was a nice touch.

Wonderful spot in Glen Taner

My wife had not been to the Highlands before and only ever passed by Edinburgh and so for her birthday treat, I wanted to give her a truly wonderful experience in her first proper trip to Scotland. Taner view provided the perfect setting for our mini break. The accommodation was fully kitted out and enabled us to feel like we were in a home away from home. The small personalised touches, the hot tub, the log burning fire and the amazing location meant that my wife had a very memorable birthday and we will surely be back again to Taner view. Thank you very much Liz and Neil for welcoming us into your home and helping make our stay so enjoyable!

Incredible! Couldnt ask for a better Host, Location or Weekend

Everything, the hosts were amazing. Contacted before our stay to ask for advice on artwork and they gave suggestions and then also contacted us when they saw some artwork that they thought we would like a week late! Location was perfect for the activities we wanted (walking) Hot tub was great with a lovely view of the highland cows. 5 minute drive from a wonderful Pub and Restaurant (Boat Inn) 20 minute drive from slightly larger villages with shops/tearooms 30 minute drive from Balmoral - amazing experience Scenery was stunning and lots to do

Fabulous from start to finish we will be back!

We came away with our two teenagers for a last minute booking and we are so glad we did. We loved the location but Liz and Neil made the stay so wonderful. Home made cake and bread on arrival, milk, butter wine in the fridge, whiskey, treats for the dog and just so many things we can’t mention them all but we felt very welcome and relaxed. The house if furnished comfortably and Liz just can’t do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble even driving to a neighbour to retrieve my trainers which were delivered elsewhere! The kitchen is very well equipped if you like fresh foods and want to mainly cook as we did, and everything is very well organised, but The Boat Inn and CC’s were both a welcome treat dining out. The area is great for walkers and there are also lovely villages around to explore, we had a great day walking Balmoral and were just astounded by the scenery. The hot tub is a welcome addition on an evening with the fire pit going and nothing but the stars the owl song… nice on our final night to have a distant serenade of the pipes from Neil too, it really has been such a special holiday, even feeding Primrose and Daisy carrots everyday was smashing, we all need a highland cow in our lives lol. Can’t wait to return!
