A home you will never want to leave

SOTA is returning home to a place you have never been before, and never want to leave. The hotel is for travellers looking for an authentic Kapadokya experience. Nil the owner is so incredibly passionate about each of her guests having the best time possible, and this alone makes it one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The breakfast is truly delicious and such a treat each morning with homemade jams and chutneys. The staff are attentive and thoughtful throughout the stay. The rooms are beautiful and I would say even better than the photos (if that’s even possible). The rooms are incredibly cosy and homely, the sheets were of very good quality. Really there is nothing that has been forgotten to make the stay special. Nil is the heart and souls of the hotel, and it shines through in every detail. Younus ensures everything runs smoothly and is on hand for anything, they make a wonderful team together, along with the breakfast staff and housekeeping. Thank you for your love with what you do, you have created a special place for visitors of Kapadokya to stay and be so welcomed.

Mind blowing

The property was a cave hotel with excellently furnished and authentic cave rooms with excellent amenities. The owner NEEL has everything worked out and planned and the staff are excellent, hard working courteous and clean and make the extra effort to make everyone comfortable. A shout out to Yunus from the hotel who made sure we were comfortable in every way. The breakfast was excellent and very very tasteful also The views from the breakfast room the breakfast balcony and the suite balcony were out of the world especially in rhe evenings. Well done SOTA we will definitely be back

I would not only stay here again, I have told others to as well!

The host/hostess were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nil gave us the offer of rooms in which to stay, of the ones vacant that day. The property is beyond gorgeous and so funky/cool. The breakfast was absolutely over the top! Nil also helped us figure out the best way to spend our one day in the area.

Stunning boutique hotel. Everything exceeding our expectations. So much effort and care is put into little details by Nil and Yunus, their hospitality is truly remarkable. We stayed in the Suite with terrace. Very comfortable bed and very beautifully designed.

Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Urgup.

SOTA Cappadocia is a small boutique hotel within easy walking distance to Urgup town centre. We had room 4 which is small, but impeccably presented and with a private balcony with beautiful views over Urgup. Nil, the owner, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, introduce you to her hotel and the local area - she was more than happy to assist us with planning our day, as well as recommend some excellent restaurants. Her staff of three are terrific and the breakfasts are the best you will get in Turkey. We can’t recommend SOTA highly enough.

Wonderful Cave Room experience ,sophisticated decorarion , superb host.

Cave Rooms are nicely decorated and unique. Nil is a fantastic host always willing to make guests welcomed and happy.

The uphill ramp access is a good challenge.

Fabulous!!!

What a fabulous find! After searching heaps of options in the whole area I chose to stay in the smaller town of Ürgüp (smaller compared to Geromë). Then it was more research on where to stay! I chose SOTA because of reviews and images. And it lived up to all I read and saw! A beautiful place that was lovingly renovated by the very welcoming owner, Nil. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. And although cave rooms they also have natural light. It’s quiet, peaceful, yet walking distance to town. A beautiful room and terrace to sit anytime (24/7) and enjoy the views. A plentiful, varied, and fabulous breakfast is available, serving freshly made food including locally made spreads and honey. And thanks to Nil’s passion to ensure every guest is attended to, informed and helped in the best way possible, I was able to make the best use of my time there.

Nothing I didn’t like at all, this is more of a note to for those with walking issues, there is a short driveway/road with a an incline, and steps up to the reception, rooms, and breakfast/communal area.

An exceptional boutique hotel

SOTA is an exceptional hotel - beautifully designed rooms, fabulous food, great service and superb hospitality. The owner Nil and her team went out of their way to make our stay perfect, from suggesting itineraries and local restaurants to providing the best breakfasts we’ve ever had anywhere in the world! There was a delicious array of choices each morning, with many of the options having been home cooked or sourced locally. Nil has restored the original building beautifully, creating stunning cave rooms with tasteful interiors. Younus was on hand to help with anything we needed and SOTA is perfectly placed for exploring all that Cappadocia has to offer. A wonderful experience!

Beautiful, classy hotel in lovely location.

Beautiful rooms and nice breakfast. I previously stayed in Goreme and really regretted not coming to Urgup sooner - it's much nicer and quieter. Huge thanks to Eunice who looked after us all - one of the nicest people I've ever met :)

We had some amazing days at SOTA when visiting Cappadocia. The staff was incredibly service minded, helpful, and made the most amazing breakfast! Nil, the owner, truly welcomed us as we were her own guests, providing us with wonderful tips and advice on what to do and where to eat! All of them truly contributed to making us feel as home. The rooms and common areas were beautiful decorated and really comfortable. Staying in the cave rooms was a great experience! We enjoyed our stay so much!

Excellent hotel rebuilt from an old house in the rock. Only a few rooms, but each one is unique. The owner, a very friendly woman, manages the hotel herself and welcomes guests. She will tell you interestingly about the hotel, Cappadocia and help you make a plan for every day of traveling around the region.

Best Boutiqe Hotel experience we’ve had! Simply beautiful

We were tired when we reached but all our fatigue disappeared when we entered this beautiful property. From the get go, the owner Nil made us feel so comfortable as if it were our home! She is an amazing human being who treats all her guests like family :) The property has been made in a very tasteful manner with all the comforts of a modern hotel, overlooking a breathtaking view of the caves. There was an uncanny calmness we experienced during our stay at the property. Breakfast was delicious and the staff in general were very caring and helpful! Special mention to Hotel manager Youssuf who went the extra mile to take care of us and make our stay memorable.

The location is a bit far from all buzzing touristy areas but that was a blessing in disguise for us as were nestled in a peaceful and calm setting, away from the crowds.

SOTA Cappadocia was a incredible place with an amazing ambiance and fantastic location. But what made it even better were the people. Nil provided us with endless suggestions right down to what to order for dinner at all of her favourite restaurants- we were never disappointed! Her staff, Yunus, Meltem and Hibe were incredibly attentive to all our needs and their smiling faces made us feel right at home. Thanks SOTA for the lovely stay!

Not just an excellent hotel, but a warm and loving people running it!

I love everything, the facilities, the breakfast, the Team. Nil had been a great host. On the first day, we arrived at around 9.30am, we were greeted by Nil. She explained everything about the hotel and asked me about things we wanted to do. We were treated like family. Then next thing breakfast was prepared for us. This was the first time I got breakfast on checked in day. We felt like staying in a relative house and not a hotel. Then there was Yunus, Yunus was the staff who stayed in SOTA the whole time. He was sooooo helpful. Every time we met him, he always asked whether we needed anything. Water was free refill the whole time. Breakfast was also amazing, even thought, SOTA had only 7 rooms, but breakfast was served buffet style. Breakfast selections were many and freshly made. I was excited every time for having breakfast at SOTA. Room was excellent, lighting was more than enough, bed so comfortable and size more than adequate!

The breakfast is complete and the staff was attentive to our needs throughout our stay. The owner spent a lot of time giving us the best tips for our day's visits. A very special place to stay, relax and unwind.

This stay was an outstanding example of great hospitality. From the moment we arrived , we were made so welcome and felt the genuine warmth of all the staff . Nil booked all our trips including the hot air balloon ride . I would highly recommend you do this too. The breakfast spread is amazing and everything is cooked to perfection. We felt as if we were part of a family. The evening restaurants were chosen carefully for us ( being vegetarian) and they did not disappoint. Thank you Nil, Burak , Yunus and the two ladies at breakfast for making our stay so good!

Highlight of our Honeymoon

This beautiful hotel is owned by Nil, the most enthusiastic and kind person posible. She and her staff made sure we felt at home since the moment we stepped in. We had not planned anything for our three days in Capadoccia, but in the first hour of our stay she took care of it all! She planned an amazing tour for eah day and provided recomendations for every site. On top of this, the rooms are unbelievably beautiful. The views are really nice and the breakfast is to die for. Thank you so much for being the highlight of our honeymoon!! We can’t wait to be back!

Sota Cappadocia is unique in so many ways. It captures everything we enjoy in travel. The location is accessible to all attractions but also far enough from the tourist drags that you have your space to take in Cappadocia. The rooms are beautifully designed - they give you a sense of the past without compromising on modern comforts. The property is effortless in every way. And Nil and her staff make your vacation. They are kind, actually interested in helping you discover Cappadocia and made up of locals whose advice you can trust. they go over and above to ensure that you get everything you need. We got really lucky finding and picking Sota. We’ve traveled a lot - Nil sets the bar very high.

Our stay at SOTA was an incredibly unique and endearing experience. It is worth the trip to Cappadocia in itself.

The location was incredible. Rarely does one have the privilege of lounging on a terrace as perfectly placed in a canyon like the one Nil (owner)has created at SOTA. And speaking of Nil, her and her staff were on a totally different level of hospitality. Their genuine desire to help us make sure our trip was perfect was impossible to feign. They truly wanted us to have a great time and it literally brought tears to my wife’s eyes. Our stay here was incredible. I cannot say enough great things about SOTA. Go here. You will not regret it.

SOTA Cappadocia was the best hotel experience my wife and me ever had in our life (though we travel a lot). Imagine: you sleep in the real cave - it’s just crazy and is a must doing in Cappadocia! It was not only about the accommodation itself - authentic, stylish and lots of cute details, but also about the atmosphere and hospitality Nil, Burak and Yunus (hope it’s correct, if not - pardon me) gave us. Nil told us the history of the Cappadocia and made a route for our 3-day trip around. By the way: ask Nil to show you past photos of the SOTA - you will be amazed by the great work Nil did! Can’t stand from mentioning the comfort temperature in the room for those who are always feeling cold, the hot water in the shower (for Cappadocia it’s very hard to make), awesome smell all around the hotel and delicious breakfast with homemade sweets and cakes that differed from morning to morning. Never believed in 10/10 ratings on Booking but if I could I would give 100/10 for SOTA because it’s much more than just a hotel - it’s a place where you are welcomed like a family member
