Nous avons apprécié l’accueil en français, le calme, la piscine, les espaces communs bien décorés avec des meubles et des objets dignes d’un antiquaire. Le pain du petit déjeuner était délicieux

Upon arrival at Casa do Colmeal, we were welcomed by Jorge as if we were close old friends staying at his home. "Mi casa, su casa!" - Albeit an Italian saying, describes perfectly how at ease we felt during our stay. Before showing us to our room, Jorge took us on a guided tour through several common areas. The house is amazing, full of stories and history in every corner and every piece of decor. The room we stayed in was small, but comfortable and not having a TV was actually a plus. Despite being small, the swimming pool area is quite lovely. The breakfast room looks like it came straight out of an old movie, whereas the breakfast itself, although quite simple, was delicious. We asked Jorge if we could put the water and fruit we brought in the fridge and he was most helpful. We felt at home from the very first night, since we could make our tea in the common aerea without time restriction, relax in the living room or in the exterior lounge. All in all, it was a wonderful experience - many thanks to Jorge and Sandra for being so welcoming and kind. Definitely on the repeat and recommendations' list to disconnect from everyday noise and routine.

We believe Casa do Colmeal would benefit a lot from having someone else helping Jorge full time in both the maintenance of the place and everyday tasks. Despite the absolute charm of the rustic house and decor, it could use some deep cleaning (inside and out).

O alojamento está instalado num antigo palacete muito bonito, com bastante charme e caráter, o que torna a estadia agradável.

O isolamento acústico é fraco, uma vez que as janelas deixam passar bastante ruído do exterior, o que afetou o descanso. Além disso, o quarto não parecia ter sido devidamente arejado antes da chegada, dando uma sensação de ambiente pouco fresco. O pequeno-almoço foi razoável, com uma oferta suficiente, embora sem se destacar. Gostaria ainda de salientar que o processo de obtenção da fatura foi moroso e pouco eficiente. O envio demorou bastante tempo e exigiu vários contactos telefónicos e trocas de emails até a situação ficar resolvida, o que acabou por prejudicar a experiência global. No geral, foi uma experiência positiva pela beleza e pelo charme do edifício, mas há margem para melhorias, sobretudo ao nível do conforto e da organização do serviço
