A perfect "on the road" stop for my trip from Johannesburg back to KZN. The Hare and Hound pub/restaurant is a huge bonus. Roaring fire in the cold SA winter and tasty SA food.
They have a tiny problem with water but they do warn you about this and one can take steps to avoid being caught unawares in the morning.

It was a lovely stayover stop from Johannesburg to Midlands.
Everybody was very friendly and super helpfull. The bar and food was great.
Room nice and cosy with all you need, electric blanket and hot water :)

We stayed overnight at Riverview Country Inn on our way from Pretoria to Shelly Beach, and it was the perfect stopover.
The hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional—without a doubt one of the highlights of our stay. Every meal was delicious, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared.
Our room was comfortable and rustic. While the bathroom could benefit from an update, it was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
Overall, this is excellent value for money and a wonderful place to break up a long journey. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Riverview Country Inn to anyone looking for friendly service, great food, and a comfortable overnight stop.

Easy stay over for an evening,
midway point for travel between Johannesburg and Durban.
Basically a turn off from national route and you there.
Value for money? it seemed to be a bit expensive for the average stay over as the room is smaller than the advertised 30m2 and slightly run down. Also not much luxuries at facility
