Great accomodation in a very beautiful location

Pictures on Booking were nice, but Apartment Chalet des Granges has exceed our expectations. First, the large, 2 level interior space is very well compartmentalized and the furniture is very well thought out. The interior equipment is not just the basic stuff and you are surprised to find helping appliances and various kitchen utensils right where you would have it at your own home. The 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom compartmentation is great for a family of four, and the parking lot was really useful. Transportation between Les Houches and Chamonix is really simple by us and Bolt, so we haven’t moved our car. But the best part is the location: it stands on the main road, right in the bus stations in both directions and 1 min walk from U supermarket, which is very big and has all that you need. Johan was a great guest and we thank him for one very pleasant week in his place.

The interior staircase is steep, and the children need to be very careful when going down, but the children bedroom is on the first floor, so they might not go up.

Lovely place, lovely stay!

Very well kitted out, we didn't want for anything. Supermarket next door, and bus stop right outside, were very convenient. Great comms from both owner and host, very accommodating.

Superb

The apartment had everything we needed. The dryer for the ski boots is especially appreciated - many apartments lack that. The access by car is easy and the parking is large. There's the store nearby. The bus is also just in front.

Abusive and not what we booked,

I booked a three bedroomed apartment, and on arrival was given the keys for a three bedroomed apartment. The owner got abusive and told us we should move to a two bedroomed apartment with a sofa bed in the kitchen and some very steep stairs to a bedroom on a mezzanine. Johan eventually turned up on the last day enquiring if the apartment was ok, which it clearly was not, then proceeded to call one of my party a C***.

Loved it

Lovely modern apartment with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The extra toilet is a big plus. The balcony was a perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was great to cook in. Perfect location by a bus stop and a supermarket, about a 10-15 min walk to Les Houches centre. We loved the flat and didn't want to leave.

It was very hot in the apartment. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't have been an issue but we stayed during a heat wave. A couple of fans would have been nice. Also the WiFi connection wasn't great.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend chalet des Granges.

The apartment was lovely. Very cosy, bright and spacious for 3 of us. I think even for 4 adults it would be fine. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Beautiful views from the balcony. Well equipped with everything you need. A very short walk to the bus stop and the supermarket. Was great to have a separate toilet in addition to the one in the bathroom. The owner Johan gave us a knock on the 2nd day to introduce himself. He was very friendly and helpful.

The only minor thing I would say is we were only provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper. Would have been helpful to have a a few more - but the supermarket was just next door pretty much.

Lovely spacious apartment with everything you need

Lovely apartment, really clean, cosy, and comfortable with lots of space. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures. There's a place for ski equipment in the basement and the building has a lift. The apartment's really well equipped and has a bath which is great after a long day's skiing. There's also free private parking. There's a big supermarket right next door where you can get everything you need

It's not right in the centre of Les Houches but there are a couple of restaurants a 5-10 min walk away. The centre and ski lift is a 5 min drive away or there's a bus stop right outside the apartment. The wifi was slow and unreliable

Very pleasent stay, good accomadation would recomend

Very modern clean, second toilet not in bathroom is good ( when with 3 girls). Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Very close to bus stop and supermarket.

Would have liked a toaster or grill pan to toast bread (being a bit picky!) The stairs to double bed room are a little steep and slippy in socks, ok in shoes or bare feet.Have to take bus to ski or eat out.

E' il secondo anno che fruisco dell'appartamento in oggetto. Lo trovo pulito, ben accessoriato e comodo. Apprezzo la possibilità di avere due camere separate (anche se siamo in tre della stessa famiglia) e il bagnetto di servizio. Molto funzionale la presenza della lavastoviglie e della lavatrice. Altrettanto importante il parcheggio esterno. La persona di contatto è stata disponibile, chiara e gentile.

Prima verblijf tijdens het drukke UTMB weekend!

Fijn ingericht appartement op een centrale locatie in het dal. Supermarkt om de hoek. Perfect tijdens onze UTMB trip.

Het huisje ligt aan de doorgaande weg. Met het raam open kan je gewekt worden door verkeer zoals bussen of vuilniswagens.

Juste parfait !

Très bonne communication par mail puis whatsapp sur place (réactivité immédiate). Arrivés un peu plus tôt que prévu, le logement nous a quand même été mis à disposition immédiatement.

Apparemment agréable pour 1 semaine de ski malgré les petits points négatifs.

Appartement agréable et plutôt bien équipé. Les petits plus comme la machine à laver et le sèche chaussure de ski sont appréciables.

Dommage que le chauffage ne soit pas aussi confortable dans tout l’appartement, salle de bain et toilette assez froid. Un petit aspirateur serait utile et les coussins demandent à être renouvelé.
