Don’t judge a book by its cover – or a motel by its star rating! We were really impressed with JR Motel. It was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. The location was perfect for both the airport and Therme Spa, with McDonald’s and Lidl within walking distance – ideal for picking up breakfast pastries! Although the motel is outside the city centre, the excellent Uber service made getting into Bucharest Old Town and exploring the surrounding area incredibly easy and affordable. The motel might be modest in appearance, but it more than delivered on everything that mattered to us. Proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a great stay. We’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it!
The only minor issue was that we couldn’t get the WiFi to work. However, we didn’t raise this with reception, so they may well have been able to resolve it. We were far too busy out sightseeing to worry about it! It certainly wouldn’t put us off staying again.
