Holiday home in Siofok - Balaton 19923

It is a nice stay, more like a dacha with most of the furniture from the 80s. It is in good shape and pretty clean for the most part. There is a terrace in the back with a dedicated garden, which is shaded and good for summer heat. Windows have mosquito nets. There is a modern electric water boiler. The main room has a staircase and a high ceiling which means the apartment feels big and has fresh air. The pricing was very fair, but there were some HUGE tradeoffs...

We were staying there in late fall. Sadly there is no heating - zero. The apartment is not intended for cold and is abandoned during winter until April/May - which was evident by the 15-16 degree celsius. Infomation from Holidayhome about heating comes after the NON REFUNDABLE booking was made from booking.com. They insisted, that this info was present, but this listing did not contain the info during the booking or stay. This flaw should net them 5/10 but it is not the hosts fault. Cooking is done from a gas-bottle and one of the cookers was so heavily polluted, that it kept shutting off itself, which is a concern. The driveway is very narrow at the gate, so big cars might be difficult. TLDR: go only during warm weather or prepare to freeze.
