Terri is a lovely lady and runs a really great bed and breakfast. We came home one afternoon and were going up for a nap and Terri asked me if I wanted tea and scones. I said I would love some, but I am gluten-free. No problem she said and brought up a gluten free scone and cup of tea. Now that is service way beyond expectations.

A good location close to Wells, parking on street alongside property, welcoming and knowledgeable host, delicious scone, cream and jam on arrival with beverage. A quirky building with lots to admire.
Property is on a main road but traffic noise did not disturb us. A steep stairway to rooms was slightly tricky for one of us to negotiate with ease.

The Cross is just a lovely experience. I adored the decor throughout: every little design touch was intentional, beautiful and tasteful. Flaws embraced, quirks celebrated, uniqueness everywhere. That warmth reflected Terri's (the owner) approach as a host. She welcome me personally, served me tea and a scone in the late afternoon, and we had lovely chats throughout my all-to-brief stay. Breakfast was fabulous too!
That I couldn't stay for a month!
